Apparently they give teams an advantage. 

Though the Livi fans have kindly pointed out that Aberdeen are unbeaten domestically on artificial pitches for the last 23 games and they've taken more points from us at Pittodrie than at home since they were last promoted. 

So, in summary, going as well as you would expect.
