Sevco I would imagine now view him as being too old to be a signing target....and also at the same level as the likes of Stewart, Jordan Jones etc who they signed as squad players a year back and who they're now trying to offload to reduce costs (Slippy claims he wants to go with a smaller squad but everyone knows it's all down to the bottom line....they were banking on flogging Morelos and until they do they're struggling). It hasn't really worked out for him at Derby. On the bench most weeks isn't what he expected when he joined them. I reckon Derby will be happy to give him a pay-off in January or next summer if he can get himself hooked up with another club. Only problem we might face is having McCrorie/Ojo/McGeouch/Campbell all in competition for playing the role he fulfils. But we might be in a position to allow Ojo or McGeouch to leave in similar circumstances by then, creating a bit of space. However he also wouldn't necessarily be a first pick for us either by that point. Link to comment
