U20's Thread

Recommended Posts

Who was playing for us? Marty McFly? Dons feed on twitter had them without the 'the'.

Pretty sad that even Aberdeen Football Club gives these fuckers a free pass and acts like they're the same fucking club.

Then again, given the spineless shitbag in charge...

No one mentioning the first ever game between the Rangers and ourselves, has ended up with a 2-0 victory for the U20's?

I liked this wee bit in the official report on RebWeb....

"Although the Rangers first team had a game tonight, Gordon Durie still fielded a strong looking side with Kyle McAusland, Kyle Hutton and Fraser Aird all involved"

Not doing fantastic in the league so far (compared to last season at least) but they won again last night. Third straight win.

Wasn't there & only going by Red web report but looks like Low & Shankland had good games.

Low will be a first team reg soon I think but will struggle to get into the side at the moment & unfortunately will likely have to wait for injuries to get a decent chance again.

Would like to see him getting more appearances though.

Shankland could also be making the bench very soon.

After a slow and very even opening period, where there had been few chances, the Dons opened the scoring after 19 minutes. Stephen O'Neill picked in the ball up in a central area about 40 yards out. He looked up and played a quite superb through ball on the deck to Shankland. The striker took the ball on the run and with one touch controlled it before slotting it past the keeper. A very good finish from a player who gets better every week and was deservedly given a spot on the bench last night.

creeping up the league after knocking ICT U20's off top spot.

Hibs top, huns second on gd. ICT third & the young Dandies up to 4th

For all the hype surrounding Dundee Utd, their U20's are doing pish in the league.

Suppose that's what happens when half their best are in the first team now.

Without having seen the game, it's harsh to apportion blame on Josh.

What's more annoying is that Rose got himself sent off for arguing with the ref about a decision he disagreed with. In this day and age, players should know well, that a ref is never going to change his mind after having made a decision. It's truly unprofessional and mindless, to put your team mates in that sort of situation by sheer petulance and lack of intelligence.

Hopefully this can act as a valuable lesson for the young lads... that talent alone cannot get you that far in life. You need to use your head as well and be disciplined.

Wast blaming Josh per se, but the team had three first teamers in it, to lose 6-1 isnt good enough, maybe he should stop posting tweets of how fit he is and start doing some keepy uppies

You're not blaming him, but in the same sentence, slaughter him about tweeting about how fit he is? The guy can't do right for doing wrong it seems.

Are you suggesting that placing a first team striker (as that's his best position I think we'd all agree), in centre of defence, should negate any goals for the opposition - who have a man more than us? Give the guy a break please. It's more probable that taking him away from a position of being up front, where he may well have been doing a lot of good work in holding the ball up and pressing their defence, was more the killer move.

Feck me, some you haters out there are priceless.

We got beat badly in an U20's game. Move on. It means very little in the grand scheme of things. Better for the players to learn something from this game, instead of meandering through it in a 1-0 win. Wylde and Magennis are merely there to keep up their match fitness in any case.
