I bought mine with a build. Looked good but performance was shite. Factory reset it, added 3 add ons and it’s worked a dream ever since. Now I just chop and change the add ons I use but limit it to 3 and never have any issues. And never failed to find any film or tv series I’ve looked for. Link to comment

caledonia Posted March 20, 2019 Author Share Posted March 20, 2019 See the new 4k firesticks have volume on them thank fuckI have the old amazon firebox downstairs Ethernet wired and 2 older firesticks upstairs wifi but just upgraded one of the upstairs ones to the 4k model even though my upstairs tv is not 4k yet (only did this for the volume button and they can be Ethernet with an adapter) Anyway about to install kodi and wondered if anyone had the newest version of kodi (leia 18.1 )and if so is it as buggy as some sayall mine are still on 17.6 Link to comment

I use TeamStreams at present which can be enabled in Kodi or any android device (firestick etc) with an APK install. Its a paid for service and mostly good but not the best interface and limited on demand stuff. Am thinking of trying something else to see if its better. Link to comment

I use it mainly just for torrents as an on demand streaming thing. But I do have apps that stream live TV - that's not as reliable as an IPTV service but I rarely use it. caledonia Posted August 3, 2020 Author Share Posted August 3, 2020 Anyone got the fire cube and if so how well does it work with equipment control mine turns up the volume changes the sky channel turns on/off tv but its buggy with changing the source ie hdmi 1, and so on. fine with youtube as well took a while to get it set as well with the sky box but auto with my tv(sony) and when you say alexa the tv volume only turns off to hear command sometimes depending on which command it is also works well with prime and netflix but not with kodi at all vpn also works great same as firesticks(except gen 1 firesticks) Link to comment

Thinkin it was Amazon and having to pay for prime I was going to pit the phone down when the message said my illegal internet usage means my broadband account will be withdrawn in 24 to 48hrs!
