Bruce Anderson

And neither did Cosgrove until he got a consistent run of his games under his belt. Cosgrove also didn't look like he warranted more game time in that early run.

Cosgrove had and has a lot more to offer than Anderson even before the goals came. He was better at holding it up and in the air for a start. I'm not an Anderson hater at all but I think because hes local some have already decided hes amazing with very little proof.

Absolutely, the top split run in 2 seasons ago, Cosgrove played well linking the midfield without scoring goals (at the time)

I don’t think anyone has said, or even implied he’s amazing. Stop speaking shite.

Just that he’s performed very well in reserves & certainly hasn’t embarrassed himself in first team step up given the chances he’s had to actually be fairly judged.

There’s two groups mainly, some have already written him off (as too lightweight)& the other think he has decent potential & a natural finisher but hasn’t been given a good enough chance (certainly not any kind of run in team like others have) to prove EITHER WAY.

Also maybe a few that are on fence.

Fact is though that compared to others he has done a fk load better with the time & chances he has been given.

2 starts in total for Aberdeen (Livi last season & Hearts this season) 3 goals total in 20 appearances most of which are short spells.

14 appearances for Dunfermline last season & 5 goals.

His stats really aren’t bad at all given his minutes.

Very harsh to even consider writing him off or even judging him as yay or nae given time.

Needs far more chances before he can be judged either way imo

No one has said they have written him off. Rather he is not ready for Aberdeen’s first team at the moment. He has been given enough chances to make that judgment.

The best thing for him is to be loaned out for regular first team football.

Take time to read through this thread & some match threads he’s played & you will find a few that have

Would love to see him given a run in the side WITH Cosgrove.

Main has been given far more time than he’s shown he deserves & if Anderson had been close to as poor as Main I would be judging him accordingly then.

The form of Cosgrove has meant he draws defenders attention massively now & he’s been fantastic even then but this would create some great space for Anderson to flourish imo & Main has failed in this respect given his chances

You've decided you think he's shite so you need to jump on a shite team performance where he wasn't in the game to try and prove yourself right, embarrassing behaviour

Just a wee quote from the Hearts thread in reply to SuperAl lol

His obsession with saying ‘he isn’t ready’ far exceeds even my obsession with saying he hasn’t had the game time to be judged

The quote above sums him up imo

Desperate to write him off as ‘not ready’ in only start of season where he was basically played wide & onto a losing battle given the way the game went & how shite Aberdeen were as a whole.

After McInnes’s comments after game we cannot expect to see two up front again for a while.

Basically admitted he fkd up with two up front, meaning losing out further back & said he thought Anderson improved after Main went off lol

Small point of interest but (fine margins here) look at Anderson’s movement for Gallagher foul for McGinn free kick goal.

If Claire doesn’t foul & Gallagher slips Anderson the ball (perfectly positioned) it was a good chance of a goal regardless because he’s run into perfect supporting position.

Anderson actually had a decent game considering what he had to work with. He done his job well

How many games vs Main has no bearing on my comment. The point is that in the games he has started, he's not done anything of note.  McInnes obviously doesn't see it either, or he'd be getting more game time.

There's a lot of things McInnes doesn't see.

Also, many things he cannot acknowledge.

He's fucking clueless.

Then we have Ojo who has made 9 appearances and folk have written off. He plays in a similar style to Jack (who many on here did not rate) and has looked decent when the ball is played into his feet. There is a clear positive difference in the team when Ojo is playing. The problem is the ball is in the air most of the time.

Can't agree with this.

If he gets the ball to fee, and there is anyone remotely near him, he's fucking hopeless.

Right after the equaliser, Anderson put himself in a perfect position to score during a breakaway, but McGinn down the right made a cunt of an easy through ball.

Just another example of his lack of service.

Boy could comfortably score 15-20 goals in this league if he had a competent manager using him correctly.

Unfortunately for him, the cunt picking the team is a clueless, obdurate gluepot.

Hearts game is his only start this season & fair to say the rest of team & tactics contributed vastly to him being pretty ineffective in that game.

Before that start he had half a dozen maybe seven appearances mostly in final minutes of games (one in 89th min & one in 119th minute) & all under ten minutes other than two in which he got last fifteen or twenty mins. Scoring in the latter after being on for about ten minutes.

Main has had seven starts & fifteen appearances.

Anderson is the player being massively unjustly judged in the short spells he’s had to ‘prove’ himself. McInnes has shafted him basically.

If the above is correct, he's had 153 minutes in 8 games, consisting of 8, 9, 7, 1, 1, 15, 23 and 90 minutes.

I can't believe that some on here are giving a young prospect a hard time based on the above.

Also (for a wee guy ;) ) had a headed chance that was maybe a little high for him & could have left but maybe didn’t get a shout from player coming in behind that was maybe in better place but he was in about the relatively few chances created

The 90's were ace. Everyone was happy and then gradually bellends like boris started writing scare stories for the rag he worked on, then we went to war in Iraq, and a few years later a grinning goon called nigel farage took top gear literally and put the fear in people. Now we are just a usa colony and an eu one as well. Thank you for ruining young folks lives.
