Shafted and humiliated by consent though. We are agreeing to all this. There has been zero opposition and the government have not been held to account. They refuse to talk to Good Morning Britain (for 5 months or something) and the BBC give them a very easy ride, in the lapdog sycophantic way that they do.

So it's easy to point the fingers of blame. It's less easy to get off our arses and do something about it.

One of my best mates doesn't wear a mask, has never worn one and doesn't even own a mask. He's the classic "mask refuse-nik" as Channel 4 News called them last night. I'm now cautioning him about the fines he's likely to get, I fear that his stubbornness may end up costing him and yet I totally support his principle and share his politics on this (not that he votes nor ever has done in his life, like George Carlin's refusal to participate in the "freak show").

Failing to wear a mask isn't exactly revolution, even though he says he's prepared with appropriate excuses (legally) when challenged but until there is a material change and until the MSM report what's really going on (e.g. Trafalgar square at the weekend), it is our compliance that gives licence to the corrupt governments everywhere. This is our fault.

Excellent and concise summary of where our nation currently sits and how our natives have been internalised in such a humiliating and controlling way in order to comply with our leaders or else face the disproportionate punishments that have we have been threatened with.

Big Boris Johnson wasn't so quick to threaten military intervention upon the BLM crusaders when they were on their pointless exercise earlier this year but you could end up with a double-barreled shotgun in your face for simply not wearing, or refusing to wear, a face mask. A bit like Tiananmen Square in June 1989.

We're not far off being a year into this and we're still flapping about opening and shutting places, changing rules every couple of days and quoting wildly unreliable statistics. Both governments are trying to achieve the impossible and the public know it. Crazy chat about the army and stopping people visiting relatives is only making things worse.

Yip - 6 months into "a 3 week lockdown" and if you believe the lying bastard politicians we're practically back at square one

?

I have no doubt if we were an independent country in control of our own financiers we would have controlled things better. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do due to Westminster interfering.

Did Westminster force Sturgeon to lie about hospital admission numbers on her daily TV show?

It's all about learning from mistakes and putting it right. Something Sturgeon has a far greater record of doing than those running the show in Westminster.

So it's fine for her to continually lie so long as she says sorry when she gets caught?

I wouldn't say Nicola Sturgeon is a serial liar. The hospital figure was incorrect, it was highlighted and since been addressed, I'm not denying mistakes have been made but learn from them and move on, continually make the same mistake then fair enough.

One thing I would say about Sturgeon is at least she is compassionate and genuinely cares about public health. Not something that can be said of those running things down south.

Leitch just said on the BBC that we can't have local lockdowns as people travel!!!!! WTF

Is he for real or does he have the shortest memory in history.

Rebecca Curran had him on his arse.

He was nowhere on the actual numbers.

To say that the reason for household visits and hospitality restrictions was that they were the top2 reasons identified by protect and trace, without providing context and knowing the numbers is shoddy.

No she didn't . Professor Leitch came across as the honest gentleman he undoubtedly is and answered the questions to my satisfaction. He did well not to tell the daft bint to shut the fuck up.

Leitch said local lockdowns are impossible as people can travel. What part of that is him being honest when they've already imposed local lockdowns? Genuinely interested in the reasoning. I know the likes of you and others here will back the cult no matter what they say but that just didn't make any sense.

It's been said before,  but if television and the Internet didn't exist,  nobody would know this virus even existed.  1 or 2 people you know might have taken a few days off work with a 'bug',  and you might have heard of someones 85 year old granny passing away,  but nothing out of the ordinary.

Aye cos it's completely normal for intensive care units to be busting at the seams with people struggling for breath isn't it?
