I'd go with that side, but swap Kennedy for Hedges.

I like that too, albeit we are pish playing 3 at the back.

There’s a good chance it will be 3-4-3 as McInnes might well match up with St J who played that on Saturday.

Aye.

I don't think that will be the team in a million years but would be nice to see something a bit different

There’s a good chance he’ll play 3 at the back though if he feels Hoban is up to 90 minutes (unlikely?)

The problem with that formation is that we've no width.

Strong spine like...

Aye. I'm relying on a lot of players to keep heading the ball on after Joe launches a big kick down the middle

Loads of width with Hayes and Hernandez. It’s not carthorse Consi and Logan as wing backs.

I’d go with this but swap McGinn for Hedges. Something about McG just makes me think lazy, and I can’t be doing with that after Saturday.

Not in that straight up and down formation there isn't!

Kennedy has been crap.

Replace him with Hedges.

Hedges is a 5-a-side player.
Then again, I’m not sure Kennedy is good enough either.
I’d probably stick with Kennedy

After the performance we saw against The Rangers I'm not confident we'll take anything against St Johnstone. I've a feeling this is going to be a long season.

McGeough and Campbell need to start ahead of Ojo and Ferguson. Edmondson in for Anderson. Hayes to left back with McGinn starting on the wing.

I'd really like to see Hoban start IF fit.

I fully expect McInnes to use the injuries/suspension as an excuse if we dont win.

St Johnstone have the same amount of players injured/suspended as us and have a smaller squad.

1-1.

So Bruce Anderson got a grand total of how many passes into the space in behind a defence that he thrives in?

We can change one or t’other.

You're not always going to get it your own way though

You need more strings to your bow than just being able to finish, especially if you are 4 foot 6

As always the answers somewhere in between.

Regrettably a limited AFC side (limited in its apparent inability to play the kind of pass he needs) that now needs goals, results, points and confidence urgently doesn’t have the time to create the kind of development environment he needs.  Time to do that is when we’re 2,3,4 goals to the good in games, not scraping a 1-0er and holding out like fuck (for an inevitable 1-1.

Huns come up for a game on Saturday and the city goes into lockdown a few days later.

It's clear the Huns are a danger to society.

Aberdeen on lockdown.   Game off.

Football not affected so game on.

In saying that, if they don't win we can just stop them coming back. That will give them an incentive to win.

Brilliant, I was worried the season was in chaos already!

Heres to another miserable Saturday afternoon and evening then!  😃

New lockdown restrictions imposed on the city of Aberdeen will not impact Aberdeen's Scottish Premiership visit to St Johnstone on Saturday.

Footballers and club staff are tested regularly and can still travel.

Aberdeen are scheduled to host Hamilton at Pittodrie next Wednesday and, as things stand, that game is also unaffected.

I would play McGinn, Hedges and Kennedy behind Anderson. Don't need all 3 of Ojo, Ferguson and Bryson against St Johnstone. Reminds me of when against 9 men down there we still played a back 4 and 2 sitting midfielders. Drop Ojo from the midfield 3. Hayes in at left back. Hoban should start over Taylor but I wouldn't expect it.

Referee for this one is William "Willie" Collum.
