Not seen a single photo with Ferguson in it.

I'd be surprised if he was one of them as he seems to have a very good professional attitude from what you read and see.

Playing the game with him and deano in CM would have been my preference rather than call off the game. Think that would have worked really well.

Disappointed the games off. Not only a chance for some to play, but the opportunity for one or two players being hounded to "clear their names"

The club can clear the name of all innocent parties by telling us. It's their fault if players are being unfairly castigated.

Yeah. I was surprised when Ferguson was mentioned too.

Fully expect the rest of the more experienced players to be shoe horned into positions they don’t play in rather than give the Ramsey and Mckenzie of this world a chance.

Interesting point Ollie which I assume means the 8 names doing the rounds is not accurate!

There are more than 8 names doing the rounds. I've counted  11 so simple arithmetic says that 3 of those are innocent.

Only photographic evidence shows 4 definites, Unless you have seen different pics to me

It's not the club's fault if people are speculating incorrectly on social media.  That's on the individuals who are doing the speculating.

To be honest I really doubt that Ferguson or Anderson even socialise with that group of players.

It's obviously going to happen though. They know that and could put a stop to it yet have chosen not to.

That doesn't mean that blame can be apportioned incorrectly and vicariously.

Perhaps the club cannot confirm yet as it is medical and everybody is entitled to complete privacy in that regard.even if they were pricks

The club can end the speculation by naming those responsible.

So in reality, it's entirely the clubs fault that people are specualting incorrectly.

We see it differently.

The club will have a policy on disclosure for this kinda stuff.

And in any case the club aren't obliged to respond to any old pish that's posted on social media.

I'm happy to accept that the game being cancelled was political, setting a precedent and acting as a warning. However, to say the actions would differ if it were a Dundonian or Glaswegian club is a level of paranoia which belongs on Follow Follow.

Sorry but have to agree with Blockhead on this one. The vitriol aimed at Aberdeen Football Club yesterday by Nicola Sturgeon was way OTT and frankly disgusting. She could have delivered her speech in a more respectful manner rather than the spiteful and abhorrent way she chose to adopt. I very much doubt any other club would have got such a level of ostracism that AFC did and breaching patient confidentiality whilst she was at it. She can get to fuck and die.

So if I go on Facebook and spread an untrue rumour that I saw Ferguson in Soul on Saturday night with a crowd of people it's the club's fault because they haven't named the 8 players?

Wise up folks

The club will for medical confidentiality not name these players at this time. Come the Hamilton game it will become pretty obvious as to who most off them are.

A much more rounded prospective than that Wanker Kris Boyd on SSN rattling on about sporting integrity and how it is unfair Consi will serve his suspension before we play Stjohnstone. It grinds me that a Hun like him can now try and take the moral high ground over us

Considering Night clubs haven't been open that says it all, we will see when the teams are announced on Wednesday

Absolutely agree with this.

It was totally wrong that the players were out in a pub after the game.

They should have been more responsible and had more sense.

Just like every other person out on Union Street that weekend queuing outside Soul and other places who were not socially distancing.

The media, however, are having a field day on this implying that Aberdeen players have somehow "caused" this outbreak.

Aberdeen FC will deal with the players and rightly so.

Spot on.

I dont think the ferret would have been so critical if it had happened in her voter heartlands of Glasgow and Dundee but that's politics. Hopefully the rest of Scotland will learn from this and social distance a bit better this weekend. I was supposed to meet up with my daughters and grandchildren for a picnic and bbq after watching the match on sky , now that's been cancelled by them so pissed off on whole situation.

It's not Sturgeon's fault though. Our players acted irresponsibly and without thinking about the possible consequences. I don't really see anything political in the government's response.

The SPFL are looking into taking disciplinary action against Aberdeen after two players tested positive for Covid-19 following a night out at a city centre bar.

Not sure how they could justify doing that. The players did what they did without the club's permission and while away from work. It's a matter for the club to deal with its employees.

We also had a very recent precedent of Sevco knowingly ignoring the testing protocols so they could play a friendly in pre-season, which is a far worse breach and no action was taken.
