Yes that’s the irony, aberdonians shout about west coast huns, Ayrshire and glasgow as the epicentre Of filth and hunnery!2019 voting Banff and buchan voted conservatives as did west Aberdeen and Kincardine only Gordon didn’t JUST

ayrshire north,south,east all voted SNP

2017 all of Aberdeen 3 constituencies voted Tory

Again all 3 Ayrshire counties voted SNP

Kinda puts to bed about the Ayrshire being the breeding ground of the hun.

up there the nimbys and loyalists, unionists are quite happy at being called a second class citizen by the current prime minister (said on an interview by bbc news at 2015 after the refarendum)as shown by the polls.Stand Free

Aberdeen North and South were both Snp wins at the ge in 2019 though.

The real tragedy is the demise of Labour in Scotland over the last few decades. But that's another debate for another thread.

Couldn't we have just slapped the players involved on the wrist, perhaps ban for a match and a fine, job done. Stopping football is just way over the top.

I’d be interested to know if Leitch and the other Clubs knew about Bolingoli on Monday’s zoom call.

If I picked him up right at lunchtime, the suggestion was they got wind of it during the conference call?

To be fair he did say it was “line in the sand” time today.

if anyone trawls up things on social media PRIOR to today, it will be disregarded.
There’s fuck all excuse now.

I have been called mental for my opinions over the last few days or so for going "over the top" with my criticism of our 8 football players breach of the rules and guidelines.

Now that a couple of Tim players have done likewise albeit the lad who travelled to Spain absolutely takes the biscuit for totally flouting the rules, I cannot believe that ANY of the players involved didn't know what was right and what was wrong.

Are they really that arrogant and believe that the rules don't apply to them?

Football really requires to get it's house in order pronto or the season will be suspended with all the ramifications that brings.

It really is a serious, serious situation.

What are the actual rules, for footballers just now?

Then, why do they have different rules to the general public /workforce

Presumably because social distancing isn't possible when playing a contact sport. And wearing PPE isn't considered practical....

Basically they are in a “bubble”  tested regularly and folk need to be entertained to stop them going mental. Same as the snooker etc

With a caveat of not being complete dicks and going out on the lash and thinking you can do what you want.

Which was always going to happen.

^ This + you don't hold parties with various households (The Thumb) and you don't fly to countries that require 14 days quarantine upon return (Boli).

I am sure that there will be other players from other clubs who will have broken similar rules.

Footballers have a dream job with various relaxed rules to allow them to return to work in a bio bubble.

It is high time that these footballers realise that the rest of us are having to live by some really hard restrictions, whether we like it or not, and follow similar guidelines.

I don't think it's really about punishment though.

The virus has to be controlled, if people won't follow the guidelines to control it's spread then more stringent action gets taken

Ie. social distancing becomes lockdown

In this case I'd assume part of the reasoning is clubs which may not be sufficiently following the measures to prevent spread of covid shouldn't be travelling to other parts of the country and potentially spreading it further.

None of the positive cases in Aberdeen became ill enough to need hospital treatment.  Mild cold symptoms at worst.  Where does it end?  Life can never be risk free.

what were the stats from Belarus considering they never shut down their league at all

Exactly. These allegations against our players are distracting the public from more relevant issues, such as the plight of farmers in Belarus.

Not true. Guy who caught it in Hawthorn bar ended up in hospital. The government done a inspection of the bar and allowed it to remain open. However a few footballers break the rules and the whole game is disrupted, it is nothing more than scare tactics and using these footballers as pawns to frighten the public.

Got impression today at Sturgeon press conference that Aberdeen will be in lockdown for longer than 2 weeks. Not sure where that would leave the football season or European competition.

There is unconfirmed rumours that’s it’s spreading out to various places in the shire too.

Aberdeen City is not in lockdown in the slightest, she has closed bars and restaurants, everyone else is continuing as they were before.

I said last week I reckon we’ll have to traipse to Poland to play Barry Town or the Faroese.

What a farce & expense that would be.

Sanctions forthcoming for our 8 players tomorrow from SPFL/SFA guess we could be without all of them for a good few weeks yet.
