I only started following the Dons in 1980/81, so couldn't include Harper, and missed the best of Jarvie. Jarvie, Dodds, Hewitt and McDougall were the four others to miss out in my top 5. Probably Stavrum as well to make my 10. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
1. Harper 2. McDougall 3. Shearer 4. Black 5. Archibald Link to comment

I didn’t count Drew Jarvie as a striker. i was thinking about old fashioned no.9’s. Excellent player & servant to the club though Link to comment

aberdeen1970
I was only considering what I'd call main strikers too. If we're including other 'forwards' then that opens things up a bit. Link to comment

aberdeen1970
Aye. Jess, Jarvie, McGhee would be in contention then. Link to comment
Zeus
If we are classing Jess as a striker then he's in my top 5 Link to comment

Simply Red
Makes my eyes bleed seeing the likes of Lee Miller and Vernon on these lists. As far as so-called shite strikers we’ve had, I thought Zdrillic and Di Rocco werent too bad compared to some of the clowns around them. Dadi was decent (good chant too) None of you young team got Rory Fallon on yir list? Sure i saw him hit an absolute pearler on the volley from about 35yrd out. He was otherwise honking. ollie1903
I can only presume folk having Dodds, Vernon, Stavrum and Windass in a top 5 AFC strikers list are absolutely ripping the piss Link to comment
V for Vendetta
I think probably: Shearer Nicholas Gilhaus Jess Booth Or something along those lines. Archibald, McGhee, Jarvie, McDougall, Harper all before my time. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Yes. Hopefully. Link to comment

Zeus
Revised list Jess Shearer Paatelainen Booth Rooney. Like I mentioned previously, it's been a mostly grim selection of Strikers for me. For every Shearer, theres been about 10 Mike Newells or Leon Mike's Link to comment

Or when the performance was so intolerable, the ejector seat was required. McDougall Shearer Harper Gillhaus Archibald For me. Link to comment
