My recollections are sketchy at best. Was so handy for those pre match scoofs. Also handy for a half time pint when fucked up. Or when the performance was so intolerable, the ejector seat was required. McDougall Shearer Harper Gillhaus Archibald For me. Link to comment

Crossbow
From those I’ve seen Harper Gillhaus McDougall McGhee - only the player, as a manager he’s an arse Black - his heading was unreal I like the slimmer Nicholas, clever player and Rooney was ruthlessly effective. Link to comment
Ten Caat
Have had to really think about this one. Archibald Gillhaus Harper McGhee McDougall Honourable mentions to Shearer, Black, Rooney, Jarvie and Nicholas Link to comment
Hoppy
Wee John Hewitt not make it to anyone’s list, just for the importance of his goals and what they mean to the club? Link to comment

Forever a legend but probably sits somewhere between 12th and 15th I think Surprised no one has gone for Walker McCall or the Dazzler ? Link to comment

John Hewitt is and always will be an Aberdeen legend. His goals against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will stay with me forever. Arguably the two most important goals in the club's history. Plus a double in the 86 Cup final on top of that as well as a number of other vital goals. I would have loved to have put him in my top 5 but I just couldn't. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Good thread actually. Top five most important goals. Would have to exclude Hewitts euro pair plus Shearer's play off special (I know it was the 2nd but come on) as a given for the top 3. Link to comment
