Millermong is likely too young to remember Scotland v Saudi Arabia in the 1989 final. I was 22 at the time and every single one of those cheatin' hoors were older than me

A was ten and remember that, there was no way they were under 16,not in a million years

To be fair a seen that big fucker Burke play for Scotland U21s vs Brazil and he just marauded them into submission, there were 21 young boys on the field and a giant in comparison, what a waste he’s becoming.brazil we’re favourites and we won Burke scored

I think he's still a bit ruthless like that. He quickly replaced both Forrester and that other one he signed that I can't remember!

Its not a 4-2-3-1 if only one is sitting though.

I see SevCo were criticised for playing two defensive midfielders against Livi for it not being creative enough

Ideally, being offensive, we should play a 4-1-3-2 formation, with the two full backs encouraged to push on and overlap the wide midfielders with the defensive midfielder able to drop back into a back three for cover.

The two upfront can be deployed one in the no10 role, behind the main striker and be asked to drop and fill in midfield when not in possession to make it a 4-5-1, but as soon as we have possession, the onus is to get back into the attacking 4-1-3-2 layout.

Agree, or 3-4-1-2  are my preferences.

Any sign of this supposed number 9 we need? Not liking the short term phrase used by DM. Won’t be anything exciting going by that comment. Some loan youngster with no experience yet again!!

He's being respectful to Cosgoals and Curtis.

That was funny as fuck! Not a chance they were their real ages!

Think Booth maybe played in that game?

No, but a certain Brian O'Neil did. Truly woeful for Aberdeen.

Scored a cracker against the Tims if I recall, Hignett also and a Blinker own goal.

Still remember the stat that we one 3-2 with two shots on target.

Brian O'Neil must have had a makeover, changed his name by deed poll and became known as Mark Perry then min?

Impressed the club showed some foresight to sign McCrorie when the opportunity arose. However time will tell if he’s the prospect some seem to think he is. Hopefully he’s played in his proper position & DM doesn't have him playing all over the show.

I think I can spot a subtle flaw in this plan. lol.png

I think McCrorie has been brought in for the long term to play centre mid. I expect he will play the Shinnie role of chasing, harrying and getting in about people, However over the next few months with quarantining, bans, and injuries he may be used in some other roles. Bryson was brought in to do that harrying role but unfortunately his time at the club just hasn't worked out due to the run of injuries and will leave next summer or possibly before.

One thing Ross will need to be careful with though is playing for us he will get far more bookings than he got in the past as refs wont be so lenient. Shinnie used to get a lot of bookings but most of the time knew when to hold back from the rest of the game but im not sure McCrorie has learnt that so might be liable to red cards unless he learns fast that refs wont be lenient when he plays for us. He got sent off with 2 yellows in his first league game for Portsmouth in midfield and was moved to right back following that as they were worried about him getting too many cards in the centre of the park.

Will be interested to see if him playing in there will improve the performances of Ojo or McGeouch as both played their best football in a season when they were beside someone full of energy who liked to get in about people (Ryan Yates beside Ojo, McGinn beside Mcgeouch) or if we decide to go with Campbell beside him as our midfield for the long term.

If we are not going to play Dean in there right now I want to see him go out on loan to another SPL club to play week in, week out. From towards the end of last year until lockdown, I felt there was a change in Dean's play and you could see that he was really progressing. I felt like he looked like he felt at home at first team level and believed he belonged there. Before that he did ok whenever he played without really showing what he was about, He was just a little safe in his play but he started to look like he truly believed he belonged in the first team and wanted to show everyone how good he really is. Therefore if he is not going to start regularly this season I want to see him do so for someone else to keep him progressing.

I fully believe that McCrorie and Campbell will be the midfield base the team will be built around in the future but it will be interesting to see when they first play in there together regularly for our 1st team, and will it be sooner rather than later.
