RUL
Wicks indicating on Twitter it'll be some kind of ballot of season ticket/corporate holders. I'm glad some of our fans will be back inside the stadium. Football needs to get the fans back in as soon as possible so hopefully two successful AFC test events will help speed up the cause. NEM
1 fan every 75 seats. No singing or shouting. Sounds ace ? Link to comment

I've not watched Cormack video but I saw a lower league clip from England and the fans were celebrating the winner with the players in the early rounds of FA Cup so if there are rules about it then they sure aren't following them. Given sturgeon has banned music in bars to stop folk raising their voice I'm pretty sure signing and shouting at the football will be frowned upon Link to comment

Edit: and if they pick only one side surely it'd be RDS for the superior facilities. Link to comment

RDS also has large concourse so they'll want south so folk can be outdoors the whole time I think. Based on Sturgeon press conference difficult to see anything getting approved as if anything she is hinting towards going backwards to Phase 2. Link to comment

It would be a travesty not to progress the crowds in September. There is no need to commit to thousands yet. Link to comment

Bamber
Where would the fans be? Last thing you want is players being " touched" and breaking a bubbe Fans arent allowed to touch the ball if it goes out of play so suggest not behind the goal So not in the first 10 rows also suggest not fans in Merkland or RDL below corporate Want to keep fans comfortable so no SS wings or the first 10 rows again as that outside of the roof Main stand will probably kept for players and staff bubble to me SS has a great advantage as Main stand every one comes out on Pittodrie Street, Merkland on Merkland Road, RDS on Golf road SS though you can be directed out of two divergent exits you can leave via Merkland road or golf road and so not easily mix and you could even put the gold road barriers in place and keep the crowds (??) apart heading into town. I reckon you will see a lot of support in the SS which has a lot going for it mainly two divergent exits separating the incoming and outgoing crowds nicleey Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Nah, if a fan touches a ball it just needs to be disinfected. Having a few extra balls around the pitch covers things. Link to comment
StandFree1982
What are the odds of a fan with Covid-19 being one of those 300 and just so happens to touch the ball and the virus happens to pass to the player touching the ball? Must be absolutely astronomical. 1 Link to comment

We've opened Schools, pubs, restaurants, nurseries and offices. People are back outside and together inside. There is ALWAYS going to be a small spike in numbers. Also there's a lot more testing so we're going to encounter higher number of positive cases than before. The worry would be if we're back to thousands and also hundreds of people being hospitalised, but we're seeing hardly anyone in hospitals and the numbers are still really low. Continue to be careful with handwashing and distancing and masks and carry on as we are. If pubs can be open then I don't see why Football can't be. You're only ever in close proximaty with a few people for more than 10 minutes at a time, especially if we're doing reduced numbers. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
The ball just gets wiped before it goes back on the field of play by someone wearing gloves. Simple. Link to comment

I get what you are saying but in reality inside the stadium in many ways is the easy part other than maybe the half-time toilet visit and social distancing when most are leaving at the same time. Handling 300/750 is not too difficult but what will be vexing Nicola no doubt is the extra bodies she is going to put together on buses and trains going to and from the game plus extra bodies she is putting into pubs for the usual pre/post game pint if significant numbers are allowed back to football. She has been very cautious all the way through this, and given her obvious dislike for football I can't see her bending over backwards to take significant risks when there is clearly a rising issue on infections. Most of the guys at the football don't wash their hands, so going into the mens, having a piss and leaving, you're barely touching anything other than your own cock. (I do wash my hands, but would likely use a tissue as the taps are covered in piss. Obviously it's a bit different with the womens toilets. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
I hardly think 300 people arriving at the stadium from completely different directions, many of which will be by car due to the parking available with smaller crowds, will put much pressure on any single bus journey , let alone the bus service as a whole. Completely agree but that's not what I said. The whole point of doing test events is to "prove" we can handle bigger numbers (Cormack has spoken about crowds of 7,500). All a test event will "prove" is how it does or doesn't work inside the stadium. It will do fuck all to "prove" my point on buses, trains and pubs. She won't let non essential offices back to work because of extra people on public transport so I won't hold my breath that she will allow 7,500 fans to Pittodrie, a fair proportion of which travel by public transport or indeed say 20,000 travelling to watch celtic/sevco Link to comment
