Tord31 512 Posted October 20, 2020 Injured: Cerny and Campbell Doubtful: Hayes, Edmondson, Taylor, McCrorie and Main I'd vote for playing Hedges at wing back again but I don't think McInnes will trust him in this one. I think it's a racing certainty he will match up to Celtic's 3-5-2 and have mcgeouch in with fergie and mccrorie. Not sure who will be the wing backs and not sure who will be 'up front' with Watkins. I think Hayes will either be out for the next three games or not risked for this one. Either way we'll be planning without him. Lewis Hoban Taylor Considine McGeouch McLennan Ferguson McCrorie Leigh Watkins Hedges subs: Woods, Logan, Ojo, McGinn, Edmondson, Kennedy, Wright, Cosgrove, Devlin others: Hernandez injured: Cerny, Campbell, Main and Hayes Share this post Link to post
WesthillWanderersFC 99 Posted October 20, 2020 (edited) Assuming Hayes & Edmondson are injured. Lewis Hoban Taylor Considine McLennan Ferguson McCrorie Leigh Hedges Wright Watkins subs: Woods, Logan, Hernandez, Devlin, Ojo, McGeouch, Cosgrove, McGinn, & Kennedy I can’t see him playing two winger/attack minded players at wing back & he’ll maybe play Leigh at LWB, as Frimpong creates a lot for Celtic down the right. starryfish 23 Posted October 20, 2020 Be the same formation/style of play as Sporting away and probably the same end result. 1 Share this post Link to post

fine-n-dandy 581 Posted October 20, 2020 Be delighted if we could sneak a draw in this & beat them in semi. Without Hayes (even with Celtic being shit) this is pretty much best we can expect. Tims will be playing for their lives in the league game after last result. Share this post Link to post
rocket_scientist 1,051 Posted October 20, 2020 This is THE best chance to beat them. But only possible if McInnes wants to. Success comes by desire, not by accident. Have a go for once in your fucking life. Play safe and it will inevitably be same old. 1 Share this post Link to post
Tord31 512 Posted October 20, 2020 I don't want to see us all out defence but we should definitely be defending sensibly at the beginning of the game. Celtic will begin serious panic if theyve not scored if the first 30 given the previous result. Share this post Link to post

Tord31 512 Posted October 20, 2020 Mcinnes actually saying none of cosgrove, devlin, kennedy or leigh will start on Sunday but might be more in the frame the following week Share this post Link to post
fine-n-dandy 581 Posted October 20, 2020 Just Mcinnes filling the Abergreen role to give the Orcs something to rave about. We’re as well forfeiting the 0-3 & just play the semi Share this post Link to post
Tord31 512 Posted October 20, 2020 Dundee Utd draw and no penalty still hurting. If we had those two points then a draw on Sunday would be a brilliant result. As it stands now it would be a meh result Share this post Link to post
aberdeen1970 913 Posted October 20, 2020 I also think it will be 352 similar to the Sporting game. Going to be tough without Hayes and Kennedy in the wide roles. Can see him playing Logan and Leigh wide with Ferguson, McCrorie and McGeouch in the middle. Hedges and Watkins up front. Share this post Link to post
fine-n-dandy 581 Posted October 20, 2020 For such a decent squad we’re pretty screwed without both Hayes & Kennedy for wide roles. Maybe be a McGinn/McLennan combo for those positions or Leigh? Hope he doesn’t shite it again & throw McCrorie in the defence Share this post Link to post

He'll go with that three again. It'll be interesting to see who celtic pick and how they get on against Milan. I'm not convinced the coviders will be back Share this post Link to post

Devlin going to play bounce match this week along with Kennedy & Cosgrove & few others, Leigh also. Could be some changes, some of which forced Share this post Link to post

Shinniesta 430 Posted October 20, 2020 Celtic have struggled in every away league game this season (with the exception of thumping a shite Ross County). They do like playing against us though and will be right up for it after losing to the huns so we will need to be right at it. When Celtic need a result they normally get it especially against AFC. I think it'll be 1-0 or 2-0 to the tims. But the game that truly matters for us is the following week. If we win next week we won't go on to win the league. But if we win the following week we are 90 minutes away winning the Scottish Cup. Share this post Link to post
Edinburgh_dandy 6 Posted October 20, 2020 Just can’t see us getting anything. Probably a loss by the odd goal. Who’s the ref? Early yellows for Ferguson and McCrorie will put them off their usual game and wouldn’t be surprised to see a red. Share this post Link to post
fine-n-dandy 581 Posted October 21, 2020 Scottish cup game is huge. Always the chance that this seasons SC could be postponed or even cancelled as well Share this post Link to post

AC Milan can do us a big favour tomorrow night. Flying high, top of the league, max points and fresh off a derby win (Zlatan getting both), they can remind Celtic that they're not very good. You may have heard the term "muscle memory" but you won't have heard of "memory memories". The damage of a second consecutive defeat tomorrow will impact confidence and increase doubt whereas a home win on Sunday sparks a huge uplift in Aberdeen's memory memories for the next game. Lencarl 116 Posted October 21, 2020 If Aberdeen had played in the second half against Hamilton as they did in the first and scored another few goals I might have predicted an Aberdeen win on Sunday. But they reverted back to type again. This is worrying for the Celtic match. Why can't Aberdeen play at their best for 75 minutes in a football match ?. Celtic and now The Rangers win most of their games because they can last the pace. Every time they play Celtic I think this is the day when they can win and then boom they don't. aberdeen1970 913 Posted October 21, 2020 Games against Huns, Milan and Lille in the same period we play them twice. Really need to be taking advantage of that and getting a win in at least one of these games. Two defeats under those circumstances will hurt. Share this post Link to post

I think also importantly I can't see how they could afford to rotate the team right now. Other than bringing Edouard back against either us or Lille. Apparently he is sitting out one more match. Hopefully they pick up a couple of injuries on thursday night Share this post Link to post

They've got their fucking beloved quadruple treble or whatever to think about. I hope we show up with a bit of fight and win one or both of these games but we've seen this movie before..... Ramandu 62 Posted October 21, 2020 (edited) The two games in quick succession against them reminds me of 2017, where we played them in the league at Pittodrie right before the Scottish cup final. Played well enough to match Celtic for 80mins of the league game and 90 mins of the cup game. Edited October 21, 2020 by Ramandu Typo Share this post Link to post
