Aberdeen 3 - 3 Celtic

Recommended Posts

I was glad to sicken them with a late goal - as they have so oft done to us - but that is 2 pts dropped as far as I am concerned.  We were good enough to win.

We were wasteful when 2-1 up, when we should have been looking to kill the game off - I remember 2 or 3 appalling corners in a row, at that point.

But we did play quite well and it was great to see Cosgrove back, who was unlucky not to score.

It was pleasing to see the whole team work hard for each other, defending from the front etc.

Sellick don't look as if they believe in themselves this year, so we should be looking to pump them next week!

Kjaer was better than Lewis too. I agree that we have had some amount of shite in between the sticks in the intervening years though. But Lewis is a good goalkeeper, not a great one.

Have to agree Lewis is better than much of the dross we’ve had in goals but he seems to have lost some edge since taking the captains armband. I also have real concerns with the ball at his feet when he is being pressed. Would like to see him replaced as captain so he can just concentrate on his own performance.

Kjaer was not better than Lewis imo. Not even close. Theo then Lewis. Kjaer was more on level with Leighton (second time).

Need to start Wright next week, our best player along with Hedges right now. Dropping him was criminal. Would also have Mccrorie  in Midfield.

I thought mcinnes tactical explanation of why he did it made total sense. That being said I also agree with you. Would imagine Wright will start and Connor.

I saw the Sky “montage” pre kick off & it might as well have been Celtic TV.

Disgraceful, myopic coverage with 22 Tim goals & not one Dons goal.
Sums up their horrendous coverage of Scottish football.
They only care about 4 games a season.

Worst thing was BT losing their contract.

Cormack had a go at their spelling of Aberdeen as well.

BT were just as bad, remember the advert for the semi finals a few years back

It doesn’t help when that perennial cunt, Neil Doncaster, describes the Glasgow Derby & SEVCO & the Tims as “the Crown Jewels” of Scottish football.

I think the lowest point for me was when Doncaster admitted a few years back that Sky were contractually guaranteed 4 Huns v Celtic games in a league that fucking splits after 3 rounds.
