Ed Sheeran in Dublin might win it on a most listened to basis. RHCP in Glasgow. Foo Fighters a couple of times. RATM at T in the Park. Niche - Rammstein and Apocalyptica in Manchester. Guess that is niche in that it is Germany language metal band supported by a Finnish symphonic metal band made up of 3 cellists and a drummer. Either that or Mindless Self Indulgence at what I think was Moshulu at the time. Music probably adopted by incels nowadays, if they are in anyway relevant. Rammstein are immense live. Saw them supported by Hatebreed and Alice in Chains, what an evening. Link to comment

Simply Red
Must be a few on here were at the charlatans gig at the music hall, 2004, local loons done good, driveblind supporting. Winter vomiting virus done the rounds (airborne) and hunners of folk got a nasty puke/skitters bug, myself included. Could still smoke in there, that didnt help. Think both bands got it aswell. tightbreeks
Plan b supported by example at king tuts. Still up coz some scottish lad was fighting in the ufc. Beat shogun rua as well, even though rua is getting on a bit, a gatekeeper so to speak. I've just ended up watching the other fights. Jim cant swim has a class youtube documentary on the ex ufc fighter war machine, who went to prison for decades after beating up his ex to within an inch of her life. Vile human. Link to comment
redone
Never really seen any global superstars Most famous in UK and Scottish terms probably Paul Weller (a few times) and The Proclaimers. Best Weller gig for me was Crathes Castle, 2003-ish Proclaimers was at AECC the night Scotland got beat by Italy to miss out on qualification for Euros or World Cup. Put a damper on the evening but probably didn’t matter because it was an absolutely shit venue. Niche......The Redskins at Ritzys mid 1980’s. Brilliant. Crowd swelled considerably by the likes of nurses just coming in as part of a night out having never heard of the band or any clue about what they stood for. Link to comment
Bluto10
saw (technically) culture club \ bg at #hoggers 2002? not the biggest or the nichest but great do gs at a weird ‘venue’ Link to comment
elephantstone78
Biggest - Bowie or Rolling Stones. niche - maybe Lindisfarne or the animals at the Renfrew ferry which was/is quite a good wee venue. BMX bandits (at hug n pint and classic grand) are pretty niche too. Or brix smith from the fall with her band. Didn’t know any songs but she was very entertaining. Think budget blondie. would pay handsomely to see anybody just now. Link to comment

Nae exactly niche but just something that I remember having stood next to Kelly Jones at the bar and thinking by fuck he's a small lad! Possibly Glow 303. I was there too. The were supporting the fantastic Subcircus. Single out at that time was Feels like Chaplin? They may have played that venue twice. Canna mind. I did really like them, but sort of lost their appeal when they went mainstream and the boy started acting like a cock.https://www.societyaberdeen.co.uk/music-theatre/music/stereophonics-still-remember-aberdeen-debut/ Link to comment
