It’s strange that McInnes was so desperate to almost build his entire team around the snake Jack when he was here, but he’s reluctant to even play Gleeson when he’s a very similar type of player.

I’m sure he was originally brought here to play ahead of Ferguson, and McInnes was just surprised by how quickly Ferguson adapted to playing in the first team.

Agree with this.

I agree there have been glimpses of a player in Gleeson but I don't agree we should 100% hold on to him.

It all depends who we would bring in to replace him.

Gleeson is not an automatic pick and possibly could be replaced by a better or comparable cheaper/younger option.

Even if Gleeson finds form in the 2nd half of the season he has little sell on value aged 31 and is of little value to us if not starting most games.

Gleeson clearly isn't fit enough.

McInnes clearly doesnt fancy him for one reason or another.

A parting of the ways is inevitable once a replacement is sourced on loan from Man Utd

I hear this a lot.  A lot of people saying, not fit enough and can only play 60 minutes.  How do they/we know?  He never gets played for long enough for any evidence to be gathered on whether he can last a full 90 minutes or not.

Also...I did like the way he got right in about the little hun fuck!

Well the manager is only playing him for that length of time for a reason. It's not like he does badly.

After India, you can see why.
