Went to a couple of comedy nights in the East Village while over, decent night out. Aisling Bea being probably the most well known out of the lot. The American humour of self-loathing and jew jokes get a bit tiring after a night of it tho.

 

Dave Attell was great as predicted.

Going to see Andrew Maxwell at the Lemon Tree on Saturday. I seen him live in London doing some improv stuff with a group of people, including Paul Merton. Should be decent.

He’s pretty good, but like most comedians if you go to see them too often the jokes get repeated too much, we saw him a couple of times every Fringe for about four years. Wouldn’t mind seeing him now to see what his newer material is like

Nah that’s in LA right? Too far south for a quick visit, plus having the bairns now doesn’t really lend itself to nights out. There’s a few places in San Jose meant to be good though that’s closer to us

Yeah, San Jose Improv they've got some decent guys there regularly looking at their site, Doug Stanhope and Theo Von
