Robbie Winters
What's the deal with the transfer windows/contracts and our European game? Does the window open 1st July? Do most contracts run until 30th June? You would think it would be in Swindon's best interests to release him from his contract today if amicable between all parties. I note the Jambos were sniffing about as well, feck em.. Link to comment
SkyeDon
Good signing, pleased with this. He has proved he can finish at this level. Far more mobile than Rooney and is generally a danger to defences. Welcome to the Dons! Link to comment

It's all so confusing. Link to comment
RUL
I'm ignorant of other teams players so can only hope he's decent Link to comment
BWG
What a time to be alive. Presumably the end for Shank the tank then? Can't help but feel this boy might be Mackie 2.0 but hope I'm wrong. Good to see McInnes making a real statement of intent by getting things done early. In deek we trust. Link to comment
paddy
How's this guys hold up play? Is it as good as Goodwillie's? Link to comment

It's all so confusing. Think you can be released at anytime from contract but cannot play for a 2nd team within same jurisdiction (SFA) in same season although I presume they have cut-off dates as to when season is officially over in registration terms - feck knows really. RowZ
No reason to get rid of Lawrence, trying to run light on numbers gave us zero options when injuries kicked in this year. We will need all 4 Link to comment

RAZOR
He certainly made an arse of Paul Quinn at Pittodrie this season. Positive move imo. Seems to have lots of energy and kens where the onion bag is. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Is now a good time to say that I thought at one of the Caley matches (must have been boxing day?) that Storey reminded me of a certain young fast Aberdeenshire loon that was good to have about the place? Decent signing simply because its not a type of player we have had for a while assuming we want (and can keep) Hayes out on the wing. Link to comment
BWG
I think the most important question is, will this signing begin a successful chapter in AFC history? 1 Link to comment
Henry
Hopefully it's never-ending success from here. Link to comment
Tord31
Happy with this. Striker was not necessarily a problem position (McInnes insistance on 4231 formation and Rooney's 50+goals in less than 100 games) but having a big enough squad was a problem and hopefully this means we have Rooney, Storey, Shankland and Stockley for next season. Gives us different options and time for Shankland to develop further. Rooney will be first pick but the others should be involved regularly so they are sharp to be depended on when required Link to comment

BWG
ICT messageboard suggesting we might have had to pay a development fee to Swindon? Their suggestions would be wrong. We'll pay nothing. Premier League guff coming to Scotland so no compo is required. Link to comment
Guest RosemountRed
No word on Tansey? Seems strange how we wanted him in January but not now. Link to comment
BWG
No word on Tansey? Seems strange how we wanted him in January but not now. Presumably McInnes came to his senses and realized what a terrible signing that would have been. Link to comment
Tord31
Although primarily this lad is a striker he will be comfortable on the right and left wing in some matches possibly particularly when we are looking to stretch defences Link to comment
Panda
If Shankland was going surely his name would have been on the list of players released yesterday? Shankland and Nuttal up front for the U20s next season, lets reclaim our title. Link to comment
Panda
Although primarily this lad is a striker he will be comfortable on the right and left wing in some matches possibly particularly when we are looking to stretch defencesYeh that's the way I saw it. Seems a direct replacement for Church. McInnes was keen to play Church/Rooney together but didn't get the chance to do it as often. Storey probably a much cheaper option wage wise than Church. 360
Hoep he didn't just look good cos it was our defenders he playing against oop cheeky! Link to comment
Guest
Isn't Shinnie an immovable obstruction incapable of having a bad game........?? Think he went right off the boil 2nd half of the season and not afraid to say it. Link to comment
red_ordead
Although stats are often meaningless, I think Storey and Stewart are very comparable. Storey has two more goals than Stewart but 7 fewer assists, HOWEVER, from the listed 29 (?) crosses he has attempted this season he has an accuracy of 97% which would suggest with a striker like Hemmings (and now Rooney, hopefully Stockley) he would've achieved similar assists to Stewart. Bear in mind also we're getting this guy for free whereas someone like Greg Stewart would've cost around 200-400k... All in all, a great signing from McInnes I think! Link to comment
