That's the thing, he'll not see anything like that money, anywhere else... which is why we may be lumbered with him.

I'm glad Yogi Huges was a cunt & prevented us splashing out the supposed buy out fee.

McInnes doesn't really have a great record when it comes to signing players where a fee is involved.

Ricky Foster
Kenny McLean (when he could possibly have gotten John McGinn if had been wiser)
GMS ( guess there was a fee of some sort)
Greg Stewart loan, was there a fee involved?
Stevie May, as above?
He was willing to pay a fee for Tansey.

I cannot think of any signings he's made (where he's been given cash to spend) that have been any good really

There's no way Tansey or O'connor will be leaving in January, cant see it anyway.

I think the only business we will do will be a  loan deal.

Still cannot believe we were going to pay a fee for Tansey, boardering on a Ricky Foster brain fart for McInnes that.
Hate to think what we're paying him on his three year deal

Havent seen him play much but I know he had that injury (or was it a hernia?) that required surgery recently. Will McInnes maybe not give him the rest of the season to see if he is worth persevering with rather than cutting his losses so early?

Yeah we're stuck with him I'm afraid.

Aye, if only he'd foreseen Steven Thompson spearing John McGinn with a corner flag.

Yes he was lined up to move to the US but Hibs stepped in and paid the development fee I think.  I'd like to think we could definitely have had him if we'd shown an interest as Hibs were in the division below at the time.  We did have more midfielders at the club at the time though.  Jack, Flood, Robson, Pawlett, McLean.  Smith and Storie were still viewed as prospects at that time too.

I'd say Ball and Maynard are the most likely to leave in January. You think Reynolds would maybe want away but unless we got cover I doubt we'd let him go.

We need a centre mid, striker and a winger. Or could we maybe sign a left back and let Reynolds go using considine as cover in the centre.

Didn't Reynolds get an extended contract earlier this year? I'd be surprised if moves on any time soon.

His family are settled here.

Fine loon actually... just a pity his form has really gone backwards (for a long time).

No choice but to show Tansinho some love. We can always redirect our frustration towards kenny.

The cum-dawg isn't getting a game at Forest.  The type of player McInnes loves to get in.  Could see us going for a loan deal in January and terminating Maynards contract "by mutual consent".

Aye until we play Celtic then everyone with a brain gets utterly infuriated with him. Not for me.

Not sure of the stats but in terms of goals and assists he contributed quite a lot against Celtic compared to others? Can only think of Hayes who contributed more. Not much to suggest he tried any less I dont think. Had to defend a lot more them games too.

Stewart (to me) looks to be coming into it now. Was unfit to start with, certainly think theres a player there. Would like to see him deployed behind the striker as he has the best close control and vision in the team IMO. If we get McGinn back him on the right and a run of games for GMS on the left would be ideal.

The single most important signing we have to make is either a left back, to keep Shinnie in midfield, or, a proper cunt of a midfielder willing to the dirty shit. Meaning we can keep El Capitano at LB. Which is where I think he's been at his best this season.

Must admit I was in the 'lazy tim bastard' camp. Watching us now though, I totally retract those sentiments. Covered a crazy amount of ground. Just had a more languid running style than Hayes, made him look lazier, I reckon.

Not so sure McGinn would be a success second time around. No doubt he was a good player for us but a lot of that was due to teams overloading the other side of the park to combat Hayes. This left acres of space for McGinn and Logan. No coincidence that Logan has been poor this season for that reason imo.

Hibs are schmoozing McGinn but Derek has been saying he's definitely someone they would look at bringing back. Not sure how I feel about it but we definitely need someone on the wing. Could be a short term answer until Wright comes of age!

Did you ever see him against Celtic? What was it Skovdahl said about stats.
