On reflection...

Conceptually, I have no problem with us taking a punt on a player (maynard wylde, parker, monakana, burns et al) who has upside potential on loans or short term deals, a wee reclamation project type, but the reality of it has been they've mainly been bap.

It's been pointless so I think it's time to nip it in the bud.

I think taking a punt is fine, the bigger frustration is that once hes realised theyre pap he keeps giving them a place on the bench and taking them on for the last 30 seconds of a match when we could give that place to a young player who even if they werent really good enough or ready, couldnt be any worse, and at least have potential and may benefit from the experience

ie Maynard. why is he still getting on the bench, and brought on for 1 min instead of say McLennan or Anderson etc? Baffling management

Two Aberdonians more important than anyone else in AFC's history.

You could add another fae Ellon.

Bluto?

Because glaswegians have been at the forefront of all of the success

Who has been the most successful aberdonian Aberdeen manager?

Has there even been one?

Do the names Jimmy Phillip or Jocky Scott mean anything to you, fucking weegie gype

Do you actually support the dons or just come on here to get kicks out of being awkward?

McInnes seems to like singing the odd player who had bags of potential but has had a hard time with the hope he can turn there career around. So far it never worked out for Wylde, Goodwillie, Maynard. You could argue Joe Lewis, Adam Rooney & Shay Logan were at similar points in there careers and they've worked out well.

It's a risk but its one the manager will have a good chance to look at over the next few months and make a decision. He's still only 24 so if he gets himself fit then there is definitely a very talented player in there.

Thought you asked a question if there'd ever been an Aberdonian manager? How can you state it as a fact without knowing the answer to a question you asked?  :whistling:

Don't think you're grasping this son

I said what was fact was that glaswegians are at the centre of Aberdeen success

I then asked (so, you know... not knowing therefore not stating it as fact) if there had even been any aberdonian managers

Tony Watt can fuck right off. If Mcinnes thinks signing this lazy, tim supporting arsehole is a good idea then it's just another example of his bad judgement and another nail in his coffin. Watt has done fuck all in his career, Mcinnes is turning our club into a rehab clinic.

McInnes said today he's only training as a favour, because they share the same agent apparently.  Of course he didn't explicitly rule out signing him so that probably means we'll get 6 weeks of speculation, with McInnes fully intent on signing him, only to do a u-turn at the last minute once he realizes what a fucking mess the boy is.

To be fair, hes won a league title and played (and scored in the champions league). Wouldnt mind achieving fuck all like that.

You'd have to imagine he's scoring more in training than Maynard?

Bit hard for Maynard to score when he's scrubbing the boots to be fair.

Thats not the discussion though. He grew up a Celtic fan and achieved his dream. Not many of us can say that. For anyone to say hes achieved nothing in his career is clearly havering.

Thanks. I've left the "I hope your kids are born with no legs" chat behind. Most of the time anyway.
