Let's be honest not rocket science to imagine that if any player plays well over a reasonable period of time they are likely to generate interest from other teams with cash at their disposal.
However, for once, Dons have McKenna, Ferguson and Cosgrove on longer term contracts, which means that we don't need to accept the first derisery offer that comes our way.
As an aside what is the length of Lewis's current contract?

Lewis Ferguson or Joe Lewis?

Ferguson June 2022, Joe Lewis June 2020 I think.  The club should be making getting Joe signed up long term a priority

Ferguson was in the paper saying he wanted a new deal. Not sure if it was a journalist putting words in his mouth or not though. Joe will probably go though, you'd imagine at the end of his deal. Sounds like his family is settled and pretty sure he likes playing for us but he's put in a good shift and probably wants/deserves a big pay day.

Ferguson got and signed an improved contract a good few weeks back. Think it put an extra year on his time with us

Come on, Rooney in the English conferences record isn't remotely comparable to sams up here

Was merely in response to the 'oh looks at Rooney banging the goals in down south' while we lack someone who can get us the same level of goals. Cosgrove in our league giving better goals per minute than Rooney in the English 5th tier

Can't recall any announcement and google has only come back with last month word of him being rewarded with a new deal. Hope it's something that's imminent though as he's been brilliant and will continue to improve. Very likely have some clubs with much bigger pockets sniffing around in the next few years so we need to get value if we do end up having to sell him

Who is darling?   Don't use pronouns in the Cosgrove thread, when we're also discussing Rooney and Ferguson.  Specify!

He didn't play well at all yesterday and gave away a crazy penalty to boot but in fairness he got his goal.

I think expectations are starting to get ahead of themselves.. Outside of the goal he also had a decent chance with a missed header. Otherwise a quiet game outside of that dubious in the box foul.

Think it was Gary Lineker who said "you can play badly for 89 minutes, but as long as you score the winner in the 90th, that's all people will remember.  Except for Sooper-Hanz on the Hat, that cunt has expectations so high for everything, that the disappointments of real life cause him semi-permanent whiplash"

Then he shat himself.

Just had a look back through the last 20 seasons and Cosgrove already sits at equal 11th on the highest scoring league goals for a season.  He has played 1,126 minutes equivalent of 12.5 full games.  Pretty impressive for someone many (myself included) had written off.  Wonder how far up this very sorry looking list (12 times players have scored 11+ league goals in 20 seasons!) he can get by the end of the season.

1. McGinn 2012/13 - 20
1. Rooney 2015/16 - 20
3. Rooney 2014/15 - 18
4. Stavrum 2000/01 - 17
5. Winters 2001/02 - 13
5. Mackie 2004/05 - 13
5. McGinn 2013/14 - 13
8. Mackie 2004/05 - 12
8. Miller 2007/08 - 12
8. Rooney 2016/17 - 12
11. Vernon 2011/12 - 11
11. Cosgrove 2018/19 - 11

1 goal off 4th on the list. He had 0 goals on 5th October and only had 2 goals on 11th December. Madness.

Mackie has two entries in that list.... so 'statisics' and 'miniskirts' come to mind here!
