Max Lowe

I think McInnes said he hopes to replace Lowe with a left back.

I have to say I have enjoyed watching Lowe development, you could always tell he was a player going forward but he was a bit ropey to begin with defending wise.  Hopefully his positive development will help us bring in similar players of his ability in the future.

Last time I saw him was in Toulon tournie where he was downright embarrassing but did score a couple of crackers. His attitude is the problem nae the ability. Only getting on park 3 times for West Brom after they spent £15 million on him doesn't suggest it has improved much. He would likely do better at Tims where he could flit in and out than us where he would be expected to put in a shift

For whatever reason, he seems to have no future at West Brom.

Secondly fair play to the hun (I need a shower now). The only way to break that cycle assuming Timothy doesn’t completely implode is a decent Euro run. They achieved that, very nearly getting a qualifier out of it too. But they spent the thick end of 10m doing and they are still basically shite.

The huns winna beat the tims again this season, and remember we have beaten the tattie munchers more times since 2012, (I know where the huns have been) but their win at the weekend doesnt make them champs in waiting. They have plenty games to lose just like the rest of the teams in the league will. Hopefully we lose less.

I agree. The huns got lucky with a home game against a very much weakened tim side that had just played one of their hardest league games away to us 3 days previous.

It was that bad, I bet Hayes was in with a shout of starting.

On the bench but never came on. Lampard is a cunt

He was put to us on loan because he had 3 left backs ahead of him in the pecking order. Two of those are now injured so he still has one ahead of him. Chances are he will be their back up left back now and play if the other left back gets injured. Lampard just looking after his own club. The negativity should be aimed at our club for negotiating another 6 month loan deal

Spot on. The short-termism of our clubs signings is a massive problem and we never seem to learn from these loan deals. It always seems to go the same way - either they are shite or they do really well and get recalled early/don't extend and we are left fucked by it.

It depends. I hear what you're saying but would you rather have had Lowe for 6 months or be stuck with someone less able for 12 months?

So we should take every loan for a whole season, just in case one of them turns out to be really good?

Correct....if we have even 3 points more based on what Lowe has done, then that is worth it.  I'd rather we signed a LB of that quality on a permanent deal, but I would suggest that given that we took Lowe in on loan, it would suggest that such a thing was not a possibility.

The lad makes Shinnie look shite at LB and remember how we blew our load about signing him at LB (and then of course proceeded to play him in midfield)

You are correct about the 2 crocked left backs who were ahead of him. The third (Malone) was put into the team after Craig Forsyth did his cruciate in. I started watching Derby in early December, envisaging they'd want Lowe back as cover for Malone. However there are 2 things which now lead me to believe he will be in the team possibly as early as this weekend.

Firstly, it appears that Malone himself is now injured albeit his absence is not meant to be for more than 3-4 weeks at most. However secondly.......he is absolutely fkn root. Genuinely been the weak link in the Derby defence, neither as quick nor mobile as Lowe. They played a left sided midfielder at left back the other day but I reckon now Lowe has had a few days training with their squad that he will play this coming weekend.
