Panda
People constantly picking up McInnes for his big game record. Maybe we should have a look at Neil Lennon's big game record. Hibs haven't won at Pittodrie since 2012. Lennon has had numerous chances to end that run. Hasn't won at Tynecastle since 2013. Still couldn't beat an injury-hit Hearts the other week. The odd win v the Old Firm isn't anything special to write home about when it leads to very little. Link to comment

old sheep
Credit must go to McInnes for making us a solid unit and installing a determination to win within the team. He must have been banking on Gleeson and Forrester providing the creativity and passing football that is clearly missing, but that ship has sailed. The team is actually well suited to the grind that will be December, so barring injuries I think we could be well placed come the year end. Link to comment

Shinniesta
Huge credit must go to McInnes for the last four games. He was (rightly) criticised after that negative and limp first half performance at Tynecastle that ultimately cost us that game. Ever since then we've been far more competitive and solid. To beat the huns in Glasgow, Killie away and Hibs at home in the space of a fortnight (plus an easy win against Hamilton) is a great run of results. The manager deserves a lot of credit for turning things around and getting us back into a good position in the league and into a cup final. Motherwell next and then a massive month in December looms. Let's get behind the manager and the team. COYR! 2 Link to comment

My prediction is 2nd at the end of the Livvie game. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Wins against Hearts and Celtic at home would make a huge difference as to where we are at the half way stage. In the second round of fixtures we've beaten Kilmarnock and Hibs so far. Hearts, Rangers and Celtic to come before we complete 2 rounds. Link to comment

My prediction is 2nd at the end of the Livvie game. I'm also heartened at the moment. Bet365 have us at 11/1 to win the league in the "without Celtic" market. That looks good value to me. AllyDon
Making a few cunts eat their words.No. The criticism of McIness has been totally justified and our style of play has been dreadful. Credit where it's due. The last 4 wins have been great (even if the performances haven't been). Really thought last night was our best performance this season. Signs we can play a passing game and everyone looked up for the game. Well done McIness and the team. 1 Link to comment

BWG
It was based on a small sample size, compared to what he actually had done over a long period of time. A bit overly simplistic. Last season we barely scraped 2nd and couldn't beat a huns team that had 3 managers in a season. The recruitment was poor and the football was eye bleeding. We got papped out both cups by fucking Motherwell. This season the recruitment was largely poor and we started in line with that. Absolutely fair enough if McInnes can get this team playing good football and back to winning ways but to say the criticism he has come under, especially recently, is unwarranted is absurd. 3 Link to comment
dj_bollocks
The results speak for themselves but so does the quality (or lack thereof) of football. Arguably Hibs should have papped us in the League Cup and last night the amount of chances they had but they didn't and lest we forget we're less than a week away from a game where we didn't have a single shot on goal for over an hour. The team last night was about as strong as it gets for our squad. I'd still have Wright on on that position that May played in last night despite how he played and I'd still like to see Anderson start because I've yet to see much about Wilson in his positioning that makes me think he's going to score a shed load of goals this season. James Wilson 6 Appearances - 360 mins - 2 goalsStevie May 9 Appearances - 502 mins - 0 goalsSam Cosgrove 9 Appearances - 443 mins - 2 goalsBruce Anderson 9 Appearances - 170 mins - 2 goals If McInnes wants to cement his legendary status with 100% of the fans he knows what he has to do on Dec 2nd. Win a 2nd trophy. 3 Link to comment

The arguments against him were overly simplistic...we finished 2nd (again). The results spoke for themselves.Unbeaten after the split, won at Parkhead - when we had to.No one is saying we've been playing like Brazil '70, but the calls for him to go were agenda driven and nothing to do with results on the park. Our defeats this season, have been at Parkhead, Tynescastle and a 87 min 10 man home game to Killie. (Avenged)Let's see where we are once we've played the full first half. We've lost once in the last four years at home, when taking the lead, was a statistic I saw last night.People want to throw that type of consistency away, over a small period of averageness, multiple semis and finals too for the record. 1 Link to comment

Looks like a wee boy lost in games. Loan him out and see if he can find his form and confidence. Disappointed in Wilson and would give Anderson a run of games instead or along side him. Need cover for the right back area. Logan has little competition and his performances show it at times. Kick up the backside is all he needs. Also, stop letting him take throw-ins. He is dreadful.
