Forget about retaining right now and just have a think of who is returning for pre-season training. Assuming Stewart, Ngwenya, Gartenmann, Phillips, Roos, Barron, Hoilett and Hayes will all leave after the next 5 games. GK - Doohan and Ritchie. RB - Devlin, Milne and Richardson CB - Rubezic, MacDonald, Jensen and Milne LB - Mackenzie, Jensen and McGarry CM - Shinnie, Clarkson, McGrath and Polvara Wingers/Attackers - Besuijen, Morris, Duncan and Duk Strikers - Miovski, Duk, Sokler, Gueye and Bavidge So first things first the huge priorities are going to be getting a first choice keeper and a first choice winger signed before pre-season starts. Absolute negligence if they dont manage that. Looking at that squad unless someone wants to pay the majority of wages for Richardson or Morris I'd be keeping everyone until weve got a good 5-6 in the door.

I'd be looking for a more than £6m and be confident of getting it. Absolute baller

Keeper is first priority so hopefully we are well down the line with that.

Could some or all of that comment relate to our own players? We dont have a track record of signing players on Bosmans 2-3 months in advance

Some of that being based upon the fact that we already have MacDonald, Ruby, Jensen and Milne yea? So if we are going for a centre back it would be great to sign one who is good step up? I think that is a fair shout. If we didnt have those four centre backs there would be more weight to an argument of 'better the devil you know'. Lets twist on a new ball playing centre back.

after continuing his joke form in his first two games (being subbed before HT in one) he's now started 3 in a row, scored in 2 and completed his first 90 mins today. Only 5 games in and he has 2 goals. He could pick up a bit yet which would be nice from the outlook not long ago

I dont think id want to see Polvara as a guaranteed starter in July but I like him and certainly not chasing him out the door like half the squad

Based on his first handful of games I wanted us to sign him. Could possibly be persuaded round to that way of thinking again if it was a Jensen/Rubezic sort of fee eg £250k

I'll be pleased to see Sokler get more of a chance but we'll still need to attempt to sign a replacement for Miovski if he goes

For us to score 5 out of 7 pens without Miovski, Duk and Barron and for us to get 6 out of 7 pens on target was probably good enough. That was good enough to leave it in the hands of the gods whether they'd miss /keeper would save any/some.

Miovski will definitely be here in July (so "next season" yes) but I wouldn't bet on him being here in September. Clubs will be offering some decent cash

I thought that was him looking better than recent weeks.... We are looking at less than a million now. Unlike Miovski, holding out for longer has burned us here. Should have sold in January 2023 or Summer 2023.
