We've got a training ground and stadium to pay for, can't build that from fancy pens.

 

We'd need tens of millions of pens (fancy or not) to build all of that. Not sure if building a stadium out of pens would pass a building inspection anyway. Be a great tourist attraction, though. BIC Stadium has a ring to it.

I've solidly ignored it as a waste of time dross competition before the changes and yet here we are discussing it now.

You have maybe "solidly ignored it" but that's probably down to your ignorance or indifference to football outside of the top flight in Scotland. Doesn't mean the competition is any less relevant or important just because you don't care about it. There are scales of relevance, folk in England think nothing of the Scottish premiership because it means nothing to them, presumably it means rather a lot to you and their opinion doesn't make that any less relevant.

 

Fucking about with a competition that was a serious competition for teams at a particular level within the league structure, essentially as said above because it's a backdoor way of shoehorning Old Firm reserves into the league, isn't justifiable just because big team fans aren't interested in it.

Disappointing performance last night. Started well but started gifting Raith easy possession. question marks over all three goals, offside for the first and definitely fouls in the lead up to the second and third imo, but we have to deal with it better. Deano poor first half, better second, Bruce Anderson with the goal of the night, an absolute rocket from 22 yards or so into the top corner. Sam Roscoe outstanding
