Chewie37
I was giving him the benefit of the doubt! Storey playing on the last man's shoulder, turning/pinning back the defence and running onto a perfectly weighted pass or knock-on between the defence and the keeper is what I meant. Don't worry if you don't recognise the above scenario it hasn't been seen for a while at Pittodrie but I'm told it is still allowed. Think Stavrum, but without the Linesman's flag.Haha aye. I do recall this happening in the past, my memory hasn't gone yet Ah Arild, he loved a good offside stray Link to comment
True_Don
LewisLoganReynoldsO'ConnorShinnie StorieMcLeanWrightPawlett RooneyStorey This team should be capable of taking care of Ayr Utd. Use the squad, that's what it's there for and keep the team fresh for the Hearts game (wish we need to win to get a solid start to the season). Link to comment

Dandyesque
4 4 2 please McGinn to start- unless Hayes is back we don't have enough creativity - we need one to start- he can always come off at 3-0 round about halftime Link to comment

Tord31
So 5 matches tonight and 4 upsets. We've lost our last four domestic cup matches. We must be on our guard tomorrow and need our freshest players on the pitch ready to put this to bed early. Link to comment
Guest RosemountRed
This game is actually really big for us, defeat in this would be a really bad start to the season. Play two up front, get Burns in the team and Storey. Full strength team required. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Which means 2 weeks. We could do with him back for the Celtic game but doubt it Link to comment

Ingolfsson
I'd go: Lewis Logan O'Connor Reynolds Shinnie Burns Jack McLean McGinn Rooney Storey 5-2 Dons but with us being pegged back to 1-1 briefly. Stockley to score off the bench. McLean to do something half-decent. Link to comment
Panda
600 away tickets sold. Decent numbers considering it's midweek and in Ayr. Link to comment

northernlights
Alexander Logan Taylor Reynolds Considine Jack ShinnieBurns Mclean McGinn Rooney I think we should start full strength but for the GK. Give Stockley/Storey/Wright a chance if we can establish a comfy lead. DM might well start with Storie given that as things stand he is our back-up midfield along with O'Connor. Harsh if O'Connor is dropped, and I'd be happy with him or Taylor. I think if you end up fielding a B team in these type of games you are inviting trouble. COYR. Link to comment
The Cockney Don
Scotland cricket team in Ayr currently playing United Arab Emirates, fair bit of rain there though. So could be a few of them at the game tonight. 1 Link to comment
Lencarl
Aberdeen will win this tie very comfortably tonight. I suspect it to be a one way contest with the Dons putting at least 3 goals past Ayr United and would not be surprised to see more. Link to comment
