Aberdeen 4 - 1 Hibernian

is this the kind of pedantry you deem uncommentable?

I mean come on mate you're testing me too much, in WHAT way could we lose to hibs and they DONT gain on us?

help me out!

I know it’s not my argument but it’s the kind of pedantry that I would deem unworthy of comment.

Your post adds nothing other than the opportunity of conflict. Your post was nothing, a waste of your time and effort. Any response arising would also be a waste of data storage and hosting costs as it will already be entering the field of nothing to which you directed it.

Not quite as unworthy as the trolling and the vileness that the mutants bring to the forum but still a complete waste of space. We have to plough through this haystack in search of needles. You’re just producing more shit to wade through on this occasion.

Think you're taking this all a bit seriously. Relax.

Not buying into the Hibs hype.

McGinn aside they are poor and easily containable.

2 goal victory for the Dons. Ill go 4v2.

Massive egg on coupon potential here.

McGinn is better than anything we have at AFC but how can you say the rest are poor?

Do you not rate Barker? You think Citeh signed him for a laugh?

What about Doyle and Murray? Dont you see the damage they can do?

Stokes hasnt been great these last two games but hes still a big danger.

Its their pace and appetite for the game thats impressive. If they were poor as you say, they wouldnt be on the same 4 losses from 18 as AFC and Sevco. They also stood up to the old firm where we capitulated.

In what way are Hibs poor?

The debate regarding the concept of whether or not this is or is not a “must win game” was mildly interesting. Ultimately it’s semantics and pedantry to delve into a “game type description”. Every fucking game is there to be won is what a winning mentality thinks, lives and breathes. It’s when you plan for a “must not lose” when the problems start, the best ever example being Ibrox May 91 unfortunately.

I wouldn’t argue with that, but you’re speaking about the mental approach and attitude to winning the game, rather than the consequences of failing to win

A game can’t possibly be “must win” if there’s still the realistic chance of achieving the ultimate aim , even if the game isn’t won

And , actually the 91 title decider wasn’t a must win game for us as a draw would’ve been enough. But playing not to lose was clearly the wrong approach

Unfortunately I can see McInnes shifting Shinnie back into midfield to go head to head with McGinn.

You must mean John McGinn?

At first I was spitting feathers, thinking HIVS has beaten us to sign Niall McGinn.

But McInnes says Niall wont make up his mind for a week or two:

Surely hes got to come back to us, rather than go to HIVs?!?

You think Barker, Doyle, Murray and Stokes aren’t containable?

McGinn is a class above, stop him and Hibs aren’t nearly as effective.

I don’t see anything worth wanking over here, but you fire on you absolute zoomer.

Lol whilst I agree with you.. .

The length at which you went to essentially just say "yes", is rather hypocritical

As it's resulted in me having to reply here too, no?

That would be one way of looking at it but I had hoped you might have been able to engage a bit of introspection, especially given our similar exchange last night.

It's ok to make mistakes. Everyone who is human and particularly anyone who has achieved anything has made mistakes.

It's not ok to make the same mistakes over and over again however. That is just foolish.

So no, you're not interpreting the situation correctly. My attempts to educate you are possibly, indeed probably futile but whereas the narcissist is incapable of introspection and never makes mistakes in his own mind, I had hoped - and obviously still do, thus my post today, my second attempt - that you had the intelligence and mental health to understand my Montgomery (Clift).

I don't understand your question. Not "containable"?

Who do you think is going to be stopping McGinn?

I thought we were debating football? You seem determined to want a fight.

Actually, tour language and your introduction of an insult doesn't just suggest it, it proves it.

But I will refrain from that and try to rise above your level of childishness.

I wasn't "wanking" over Hibs. I think they're pretty limited, as shit as we are, as shit as Sevco are. But they're better shit than the majority in the SPFL.

You quite obviously don't agree. Whether or not your personal attack was born from great mutantcy or not, let's stick to the football.

Perhaps you know fuck all about that too? Was you personal attack a symptom of insecurity because you resented being asked to explain yourself?

As I said, this may be the optimum best time to get them but what do you see in AFC that is so superior to them, and what is so specific about Hibs that you describe them as poor? Does being "containable" mean poor? Who are the players who will "contain" them? Do you even know what you're saying cos I sure as hell don't have a fucking clue?

Which means you're not explaining yourself very well or I'm too fucking thick to understand?

Well they signed Javan Vidal for a laugh so your point is rather like you should be more often - moot (mute)

You seem determined to provoke conflict and you still seek the contrary view.

You don't rate Barker then?

We have recruited some real shit at AFC but I don't think it was done in jest, rather the manager that you worship - for reasons not apparent to me yet, although bizarrely you seem to find him very good looking and consider this an important quality of a football manager (Lennon is twice the man McInnes will ever be by the way) - made some big mistakes in his judgements.

If he does I reckon we'll lose. They'll tear us apart out wide.

If we stick with the same team and get the same performances as last night I reckon we should manage a narrow win.

Agree. +1

Boyle v Considine gives me the fear.

Absolutely but no manager is that incompetent not to have done his homework in advance. As Andy says, must start with the same and the least likely change is Considine.

Can potentially see McGinn bullying our midfield a bit.

That may well happen but I'm wary of the support around him. Even from the back, they're ALWAYS looking to build. Hanlon created a one v. one for himself last night, Ambrose was showing great feet (that I never knew he had) and a continuous desire, like McGeouch and Stevenson, to move forward.

They're well beatable but this is a danger match, a real test of character and we will have to produce a performance miles better than our season-average to get 3 points.

If you aren’t an absolute zoomer, then I do apologise.

You are doing a fucking good job of masquerading as one on here though.

For that great con, I doff my cap.

Can’t be arsed engaging with you on the rest.

I think we’ll beat Hibs by two goals. Rooney, May to do a goal each. Attendance 15043.

Thank you for your intelligent and reasoned response. I won't sink to your level. I'll keep my opinions of you to myself.

The reason you "can't be arsed" speaking football is because you know fuck all about fuck all and just speak shite on here.

That was NOT an opinion. You will prove it by once again failing to discuss the topic of this thread.

Good point Dad. I was struggling to think who we would be putting on him. He probably is the strongest candidate.

However, isn't man-marking him dangerous? He bossed Scott Brown in their early exchanges and perhaps it's better to have a zonal defence to counter him and their strong flanks?

When man-marked, McGinn is so good at leveraging his big arse and getting rid of his opponent, thereby facing a ton of space in front of him. I reckon setting a strong and tight defence with two banks of four might be the best strategy when they have the ball. It didn't do too badly for Benitez and particularly Mourinho over the years.

Will be interesting to see how McInnes sets up on Saturday. Given the time of kick off, at least my capacity to see it won't be fuddled by drink.

I think barker is fucking brilliant

Trying to say just because he is from man city proves it though is horse shit as Vidal and the Colombian mentalist keeper we had from then proves

You're being twisted and pedantic again. I didn't say he was magic BECAUSE Man C had signed him.

I agree that he's fucking brilliant. I was debating with a mutant who said other than McGinn, the rest were poor.
