Glasgow Helicopter Crash

Another shocking incident, another eurocopter, another bond operated helicopter. How much longer can bond survive? Also curious as to whether this chopper has seen a recent ramp up in hours flown without a ramp up in maintenance. The reason I say this is it was solely strathclyde polices helicopter then when one force came in the new chief constable started sending it everywhere to justify its cost (the same way that the mounted police keep appearing up here), it's the same chopper that was above Aberdeen not too long ago.

We had the maintenance manager from Bond fly out to a rig I was on a few months back he was going through all the checks that have to be done every so much hours and that everything they do is regulated by the CAA. Do you think the Police would allow Bond to cut corners on a Police chopper? No chance.

 

Remember this is what people tried to say when the L2 went down turns out that was pilot error.

Maybe has but the servicing of these choppers always remains the same I can't remember how often it is but these are never past.

Me neither and with you and me being right up there on the league tables of outspokenness and anti-weegieness, this alone proves that the dynamic is different, as any right-minded individual knows instinctively.

Could have been either, bit careless to run out of fuel though, especially as the heliport is less than 2 miles away, drive past it every day.

Talk on the tv of some eyewitnesses claiming the helicopter landed on the roof opposed to crashing straight through it.

It does look like from the still image that the chopper looks more likely to have been landed on the roof rather handsome down with force, if it had dropped totally surely it would have gone through the building.

The reaction on the news and on Facebook seems to have gone from sympathy and sorrow to Weegies patting themselves on the back, as Harcus alludes to I suggest wherever this happened in the world folk would have helped in exactly the same way.
