I think polvara is coming along fine. He is still a young player. Genuine question have you ever seen him play live? He has a very good range of passing and has developed a decent technique of rolling his opponent at times. I don't think he has worked out how to use his size to his advantage but the fact he is a giant means he can surely improve on that. We all know the squad needs to be addresed. We need quality but we need backups also and I think polvara is happy to be a backup for the moment as long as he gets the chance to improve.

Couldn't agree more. I like Shinnie and think he was great first time round and is still a great influence around the club but his legs are gone. Watching him chasing opponents and never catching them and having to fall over with the ball to get a free kick because he can't break away is really starting to annoy me. He never really was disciplined in terms of positioning but now he has no pace it really causes issues. Not enough was said about the fact that our midfield trio of polvara, barron and Clarksons average age is 22 and caused celtic all sorts of problems so perhaps things are looking good for the future minus barron.

I understand your point but surely sokler is the miovski replacement? They are pretty similar so I always thought he was here to get settled then when bojan leaves he is ready to go. I'd be intrigued to know if we have any more balkans players lined up as its been mentioned a few times that Ruby, Ester and Bojan are really close which must make it easier for them to settle.

Having read alot about thelin I do wonder if sokler might suit his system well. He is mobile and also reasonably physical which I belive Jimmy likes. You can imagine him working well with a couple of pacy wingers. Only issue is he strays offside quite alot but I'm sure that could be worked on.

I thought he did pretty well when he came on. Has decent pace and height. Really needs a proper chance to see what he can do.

Am I right in saying because he gave a freekick VAR would have to prove it was a clear and obvious error to award a pen? That in turn makes it easy to claim they couldn't prove that? Seems like an easy way to help get the Glasgow pair into the final because that's what they all want.

I'm gutted about yet another biased inept performance from our officials. I'm proud that put players went down to Glasgow and decided to stand up to the expected norm and show fight, desire and most importantly belief. This is the way to tackle the games against them not just be happy to be there to make up the numbers ala Robson. Thelin will hopefully see what can be achieved here and relish the opportunity to unify the fans, club and city.

I really can't see anything being announced when they have a game tonight. Hopefully tomorrow we will get confirmation. As much as we're all desperate to know 100% the clubs will probably be trying to manage it in the best manner for both parties.

Watching the training drills during warm up. Pretty technical compared to what we did under robson and Goodwin.

I would think we're maybe pushing to get him now or perhaps they are well on the way to a replacement and that might suit both parties to get him in imminently so no point in making statements for that to change in a few days? Another reason might be if they have a game like us this weekend then wait until Monday to confirm it all to avoid a full on media storm before important matches.

@minijc have you any idea if thelin would have been a top target or if he was well down the list? Hats off to the board if they stuck to trying to get their man all this time.
