Yeah. Totally. If you've got loads of money, waste it on whatever you want.

Like big fat guys who're in to cycling and spend £5k on a super light, carbon fibre framed road bike. Keep your old bike and go lose a stone of body weight, Tubbs

Fair play. I've not played consistently for about 15 years, I'm sure things have moved on considerably

I was usually played with 2nd hand clubs that'd belonged to my dad/brother and was still better than most of the club bores who had to spend 10 minutes telling you about their new kit on the first tea of the medal every Saturday.

Spelling is not your forte min. Gleason, tea.....

Not guilty. I gave you another -1 to prove that though.

Got a hole in one at Hazel head pitch and putt once

I hit the pin on a par 3 at one of the 18 hole courses at Hazlehead.

Decided there and then to give it up. Close enough to the perfect shot.

Completed golf by the age of 11 ?

You're one up on me there.

You'll need to elaborate on those ones

Compared to a decent amateur you were garbage. Compared to everyone who's ever tried the game, you were decent.

A pretty bizarre post, RS where you're attempting to slag me off for pretty much no reason. None the less, I'll respond.

Garbage? That's not accurate. I'd say the average handicap of golf club members is above 10. So if you're calling someone who's better than the average player "garbage", I'd disagree with whatever ranking you're using.

And it is past tense. You'd be really shite now. A game where the more you put it, the more you get out. An exacting pursuit that reveals character. Why did you give up?

Still play now and again. Not as good as I was obviously but I'm still okay. Would still beat you in a scratch game, I'd bet  ?

I gave up because I had other interests I enjoyed more and wanted to focus on instead.

Do you play?

Singular, only one other moniker/poster concerned. He/she has your back and defends your honour day in, day out. How sweet?.
