Vilnius is amazing. You'll have a cracking time. Feel quite distant to the national team these days but I'm still gutted I'm not going across there.

Old Town is good. It's got a wide range of bars, restaurants, clubs etc. We found that there were a lot of ladies of the night going around the streets at night trying to prise on the drunken lads. Keep your wits about you around them. I've not checked what stadium the game is actually being played in, but if it's the one not too far from the Old Town then it'll effectively be like watching a game at Palmerston.

Sorry if there has already been a thread on this game. Any fellow Dandies heading across for it?

We fly out on Thursday morning and time can't pass quick enough. Anyone got any recommendations for Vilnius? Four of us going and staying in the Old Town.

Hookers.

Although now that they're Eurozone, they'll be more expensive.

I'm flying out Thursday too.

That sounds pretty standard for these Eastern European countries to be fair. I'm too old for all that nonsense anyway.

Nice one, @@dave_min. Where you staying? We only booked up at the beginning of July so had to book a complete dive in the Old Town!

Cheers for that

Who gets your backing for this one MT?

Are you not of Lithuanian descent (I may have imagined this)?

Or not even arsed in the slightest one way or the other.

Regarding Vilnius, marvellous place.

There was a mafia bar right next to our digs where we spent many a joyful hour.

Knew it would be good when the boy behind the bar had a beauty of a black eye and scuff marks all over his coupon.

Taurus Gold, 50p a pint. Always recall this as it was truly the most wonderful beer I have ever quaffed. :trophy:

wont be long before the "I don't give a fuck about Scotland" mob are all over this thread and they will continue to post right up till the match ends

They will also claim they never watched it but will be able to pick any detail from the 90 minutes saying they just looked over while in the bar and saw that bit.

I do give a fuck. I want them to win but I hate the manager, players and the fans.

James Morrison called up. A big fuck you to every single player in Scotland.

There is no end to the ageing midfielders he has on his list to call up rather than give someone new (apart from McGinn) a chance. The next two on the standby list will be Graeme Dorrans and Don Cowie.

Even then he would probably call up McGregor and Jack before looking to McLean, Shinnie or Christie.

I feel as though that's sadly very accurate.

Yep, far too many brownie points are awarded for loyalty.

Some recognition of good form and hunger for international recognition needs to come into it.

Mind you he seems to have no qualms calling up some english player with a scottish granny who plays for a no mark ECL side whenever he can.

Aye that is a core part of McGhee's job to scour English League One clubs for players with Scottish grannies.
