Coz nobody has a crystal ball Davie and having just sacked one rookie manager (and two of the last 3 being rookies) there was probably little appetite for another. Getting someone experienced in til the summer to give them time to recruit someone decent was a reasonable idea at the time.

The suggestion upthread to try him in a holding midfield role wasn't the worst idea. His height would also be handy in there.

Possibly. Worth a try. Hopefully we'll win the next couple of games so we can give more of the fringe and younger players a few games at the end of the season.

Hopefully there is a groundswell against var in the bigger leagues and it puts pressure on Uefa to bin it. Might be our best chance of getting rid of it.

Players can be judged regardless of who the manager is. Managers aren't magicians. Bit risky to hang on to an entire squad of duffers just because we've had shit managers so they can't be 'judged'. Funny how the opposite view is never raised, that managers shouldn't be judged because they've been given shit players to work with.
