There’s no fucking way we paid £800k for him. Who lknows what the actual story is but why would  we be launching that sort of cash, it’s nae like he is going to be selling shirts as a big name.

And if we actually did, why would we not play him.

Look at Stabeks books & you will find your answer

Because Atlanta gave us the money to buy him for them. They over valued him.

It was so obvious we never spent the £800k. The manager and/or the board would have been forcing him in to the team if he really was signed by either McInnes or Cormack.

But that’s kelts point.  That’s where they did let the fans down because they expected us to believe we’d bought an 800k player (eventually verifiable by the accounts) and somehow just magically decided not to play him.  That’s arse cheekenomics.

No-one's 'upset' at the deal... but there are a few of us rightly annoyed that the club created some 'extensively scouted and paid 850k' bullshit story because they think we're (all) thick enough to believe it.

As mentioned earlier, a few folks are that thick and argued that this was a totally legit deal and there was no ulterior motive,  so they've no reason to be annoyed at the club treating them like credulous mongos.  Carry on about your business,  you in particular aren't going to understand our irritation at being thought of as butter-brained chumps.

We don't need elaborate "LOOK WHO WE SIGNED FOR MASSIVE CASH AFTER THE MANAGER'S EXTENSIVE SCOUTING, MONGOS!" schemes... just say, Atlanta want this guy and he's coming here for a season until they clear their roster. Chances are you'll never see him in a red shirt.

If this weak-as-fuck backstory was invented to make McInnes look like less of an inept sped then it actually had the OPPOSITE effect, because now he has a player on the team who he allegedly scouted and paid a million quid for,  but it turns out that player is shite and will never play more than a few minutes for the team. That makes McInnes look even worse than if they'd simply told us we were being used to transition Hernandez to Atlanta as part of our partnership.

Kelt makes a good point.

They made a complete mess of the arse covering stories.
