  1. Not quite, no. I'd say there's a difference between qualifiers and qualifying for the tournament proper, hence why the national team have made a big deal about qualifying for the Euros and they don't celebrate losing in the qualifiers.
  2. I agree, if both somehow got through there is no way either of them cope with the demands, bigger, better sides have struggled.
  3. Qualifiers, actual group stages are alien to him.
  4. With no experience in proper European football, don't care how good a manager is but with that and a small squad there's no way they would cope with the demand of it.
  5. Maybe our analyst who was with Croatia can help tempt Modric here, surely he could manage 2 years at this level?
  6. I totally get where you are coming from but if he comes back from his injury and fails to replicate the form as his contract runs down I'm almost certain will take an offer that comes their way. That would be ideal, he's still young and appears to be as good of a professional as you get, so hopefully that helps with the recovery process. Would be daft to be counting on that money when you don't know what can happen, so aye he probably did use it to convince Thelin.
  7. When I say cheap I'm meaning around 15m with a year left on his deal or so. It very much looks like he was going this summer and that would have been for £30m+ Now he could easily get back to the level he was at pre injury but it seems unlikely, at the end of the day as well Bologna are a selling club and each player has a price and a window to be sold in, him failing to get back to this level would see his value fall a fair bit.
  8. 2027 with the option of another year on his deal, I wouldn't be concerned about that as I'm sure some teams will likely still take a punt on him but at a much lower price.
  9. Maybe we were on to something with that now that the EPL have put up a few 24 year olds for their player of the year in the world greatest bestest ever league.
  10. That's not true, their worst form was after they were out of Europe.
