aberdeen1970
Restored my faith a little. He's a guy who obviously realises the grass isn't always greener having moved around a bit earlier in his career. Link to comment
boboisared
Great news for AFC He must love Aberdeen Is he not from near Norwich? Link to comment
Guest
Joe Lewis is here for some trophies. Fucking hero of a man. New captain for me. Link to comment
TheRock
New captain for me.I'd usually prefer an outfield player but he definitely has all the leadership qualities you'd want in a captain. McKenna is probably off, a bit too soon for Ferguson maybe and Considine hopefully won't be a starting 11 when everyone is fit type player next season. Link to comment
maryhilldon
What a man. He's one of our own Link to comment

Betty Swallicks
That is an absolutely outstanding piece of business and a real step change He is 31 and in good form, the norm would be to go chasing one last massive contract New facilities and stadium must be playing a huge factor Absolutely fantastic Its a 5 year deal he's signed min. Great news non the less. 1 Link to comment

CityCentre
I imagine this is the best signing we'll make all summer, excellent news. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Just seen the news! Jumped up and down as though we'd scored a goal. Absolutely delighted. Just what the fans need right now. We should be encouraged by this news as Lewis will have wanted reassurance that we are going to be strengthening this summer. Hopefully this is an indication that quality players will arrive this coming transfer window. Link to comment

Redstar
To think we put up with fucking Langfield for years.Agreeing with you Del Monte is something I can’t ever remember doing before...but in this instance you are spot on...Lewis will save us 10 points a season whereas Langfield would cost us 10...essentially a 20 point swing...excellent use of the funds we couldn’t persuade Shinnie to sign with...would be my guess 2 Link to comment
King Street Loon
Excellent news and a great piece of business.Obviously a man who appreciates the splendor of the NE of Scotland and all it has to offer to him and his young family. His family must be very settled here. 1 Link to comment

Fair assessment that we may be resigned to losing Graeme Shinnie and funds that had been set aside for him signing on again have been used to convince Joe Lewis to stay but this news more than makes up for that. Shinniesta
Great news. I think he's the best keeper in the league (I'm biased of course) but I honestly wouldn't swap him for McGregor or Bain. Has to be the next captain if McKenna leaves. Link to comment

pocrawred
McKenna is probably off.Do you really think so? I think he has gone off the boil a lot of this season. Had some decent games but for me mostly hasnt stood out. If we get offered big money he has to go. Link to comment
Sheepo
Great bit of Business for the club, probably Mcinnes's best signing and probably our best player currently so to tie him down is a relief Link to comment
