Apparently Cosgrove is being scouted by a few English Championship sides.

hitc is like giving a random poster on here licence to write whatever shit they want to and dressing it up as a kid-on news source. Absolute bollocks.

The Canadian Dons are the only folk who take HITC seriously.  I might see if Bebo can code something up, to prevent them posting this rubbish.

The 'author' of that article (complete without any substance, or quotes) will be familiar to a few.... He's the same guy who declared, on deadline day, that Stoke City had won the race to sign McKenna.

Let's be honest not rocket science to imagine that if any player plays well over a reasonable period of time they are likely to generate interest from other teams with cash at their disposal.

However, for once, Dons have McKenna, Ferguson and Cosgrove on longer term contracts, which means that we don't need to accept the first derisery offer that comes our way.

As an aside what is the length of Lewis's current contract?

Hence why I said "Apparently".

One thing for sure... he knows his geography. In terms of Championship interest in Cosgrove of course they would scout him based on his current form, his age and the fact that they probably think they would only need to pay half the amount of a similar talent would cost in the English leagues. We have seen this story before with L Boyce and L Moults as there are a lot of Championship clubs that could use more attacking threats.

They'll just find something else.  Remember the numerous @agent_scotland posts super_al used to quote?  Easier to simply ban Canadian IP addresses.

Aberdonians, who now live around the globe, and who would rather lose a limb than stop supporting their team, aren't your enemy.

There's nothing wrong with positively acknowledging the Dons' worldwide support.

Aye no one is proposing to prevent them supporting the dons, just ban them from posting here.

Lewis Ferguson or Joe Lewis?

Ferguson June 2022, Joe Lewis June 2020 I think.  The club should be making getting Joe signed up long term a priority

Ferguson was in the paper saying he wanted a new deal. Not sure if it was a journalist putting words in his mouth or not though. Joe will probably go though, you'd imagine at the end of his deal. Sounds like his family is settled and pretty sure he likes playing for us but he's put in a good shift and probably wants/deserves a big pay day.

Ferguson got and signed an improved contract a good few weeks back. Think it put an extra year on his time with us

Can't recall any announcement and google has only come back with last month word of him being rewarded with a new deal. Hope it's something that's imminent though as he's been brilliant and will continue to improve. Very likely have some clubs with much bigger pockets sniffing around in the next few years so we need to get value if we do end up having to sell him
