You never heard the phrase a good big un beats a good little un? It’s basic common sense min ?

Size and weight is such a leveller, add in that Fury doesn't move like his size and weight, he's an absolute nightmare for anyone from any era.

Being a pro boxer is about more than just knocking cunts out though NEM son

He ducked the rematch with Klitschko twice, who the got beat by Joshua.

Wilder can punch but he's not a boxer.

He ducked it cause he was ten stone overweight, suicidal and had been on a drink and drugs binge for over a year. Itd have been the same result, he absolutely schooled him in Germany.

Klitschko was over the hill when Joshua beat him but he still came close to sparking the fraud out

C'mon man. You're not claiming he's the greatest heavyweight ever surely? Ducking fights coz he's overweight, a drugs ban, c'mon to fuck.

Look who he beat. Tells you all you need to know.

Aye he beat Moore and Liston (past their best but still good wins over all time greats), Foreman and Frasier. Was lucky in the third one against Joe though (almost quit on his stool) and got beat by Ken Norton, Trevor Berbick and Leon Spinks none of whom could be considered as greats.

A great fighter no doubt but the greatest? Not even top ten

He’s right up there

Your ruling him out cause he was randomly found years ago with a substance used for body building in his system as if that done him any good - look at him ffs he’s a fat cunt (ah sehs he’s a fat cunt!)

Ha ha as if that would apply if he was white ?

Aye nobody was beating Mike Tyson if Cus D’Amato hadn’t died. An absolute wrecking machine

I like Fury and he's got the best all round skillset of all the current heavyweights but declaring him the greatest heavyweight of all time is stretching things a tad. Top 20 maybe.

He's not even the best British heavyweight of all time (for those who count Lewis as a Brit). I'd say he's probably number two though.

He'd cause problems for all the previous world champions head to head but his record just doesn't stack up against the greats to be at the top of the all time lists. He's only defended his world title once for a start.

And comparing his weight against previous guys is a lazy way of ranking people across eras. If that was the case then Mike Tyson would never have won a fight against any of the bigger guys he fought and Usyk wouldn't have beaten Joshua.

I'm not knocking Fury. He's a big strong heavyweight who has good technical skills, ring intelligence and is decent on his feet. His stamina, chin and power are better than many folk give him credit for too.

I don't think anyone's done that but his size when allied with his skill, ring IQ and durability make him a problem for any heavyweight of any era imo.

Respectfully disagree. Tyson was exciting in his day, that is for sure, but his record - when properly scrutinised - doesn't support this. He deserves massive credit for cleaning up a weak division and for his early 4 year spell, but the cold, hard fact is that the heavyweight opposition was poor and he never beat an all-time great at the top of their game (Larry Holmes was 38, semi-retired and coming off the back of two defeats). On paper, I'd say his victories against the dangerous and underrated Razor Ruddock were his best.

He was also taken the distance in his prime by several larger guys, who could hold him at bay, guys who weren't in the same league as Holyfield and Lewis. IMHO the latter two (who are both older than Tyson, let's not forget, before people use the age excuse for him again) would have still beaten him had he remained at the top of his game.

A great fighter for sure, but as people like Teddy Atlas and many other top pundits have said, he came undone when he faced people who weren't afraid of him and who really, really stood up to him. Douglas was the first and despite being an underdog, was no mug and having lost his mother just before the fight, gave the performance of his life. He was probably the first to out-bully the bully and thus destroyed the hype and mystique.

You make some good points but Tyson before D'Amato died and he was jailed etc would have beaten Lewis and Holyfield imo.  We'll never know either way though

Tyson was scoofing champagne in his dressing room before the Douglas fight and would have won if not for a slow count from the ref.
