King Street Loon
Got what we deserved out of the final i thought.Huffed and puffed but rarely troubled celtic. If anything they troubled themselves.Sadly we're just nowhere near good enough to trouble a Celtic team who were below par themselves and did just enough to ensure their win. 4 Link to comment

manboobs109
Och they weren't too bad. Hyper critical to accuse McInnes of bottling it. Every other theory will never be tested, start McLennan and Anderson and we maybe get beat 4-0. Just seems harsh after what happened today. The GMS injury, absolutely shocking refereeing, who knows what might have happened otherwise. 1 Link to comment

Far too much deadwood in the squad, could really do with a January clear-out. 1 Link to comment

manboobs109
Rogic and Christie both should've been off, the penalty, Brown being allowed to fucking do whatever he wants, that refs performance today was truly fucking abysmal. 2 Link to comment
Brochman
Our fate was written in the stars long before this game. Both Shankland and Stewart scored this weekend (again). DM replaced them with the likes of Maynard and Wilson. And that's not mentioning Tansey, Gleeson ,Forrester and bringing back McGinn. 2 Link to comment

Stoneybloke
With expectations low, today could be looked on as some form of achievement, keeping Celtic to one goal. The players effort and commitment could not be faulted, though. However it all seems so futile with no effective midfield and nobody with the ability to score goals. Ultimately the problem is fundamentally down to the dubious recrutiment processes, where all we seem to acquire are very inadequate players to say the least. Any decent loan players seem to go back to their own clubs in a relatively short time. The ones we get left with just seem to vanish into obscurity. The impact on the wage bill must be horrendous. True_Don
Game was competitive, restricted Celtic but as a consequence restricted ourselves attacking wise. The reality is Celtic have x6 our annual wage and have a 9m striker up front. We have a 20k striker up front. We've not played well enough this season to expect a result so I have to say the tactics were right but we never got that golden opportunity. As has been said many times, a better transfer window might have provided a team that could win such a game, but we are lacking in key areas- critiscm is just on this point and will define the season. OddJob
Thought we matched them for long spells in the game and extremely harsh to lose the game the way we did. Dallas is an utter cunt of a man. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Noticeable BT showed no replays at all although that’s usually more reflective of the extent of the injury. Certainly Shinnie was screaming for the stretchers who still proceeded to walk on. Centre half’s challenge I think. On which note, I thought Considine did ok today given the quality against him. KentishDon
Anyone that says McInnes needs to gois a fud. The man’s the best thing to happen to my club for a very VERY long time. Are we going to get anybody who can take us another level higher ? No, we’re not. That doesn’t excuse poor performances or bottling it but for fucks sake the man is (generallly) doing good 6 Link to comment

We did well, but ultimately toothless and we could play all day today and not score... 2 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
On the McInnes thing I don’t think calling for his head today is merited. He had the go we all wanted with, as you say, the hand he dealt himself. Whilst we all thought the same when we saw the 4-5-0.5 the substitutions were as aggressive as we dared. McLennan was a revelation as I saw him more as the battering ram type. Link to comment

And of course we could get someone to take us on. Someone less defensive and can spot talent in the youth ranks.Along the lines of Pat Nevin. 4 Link to comment

shooftahmooftah
Mcinnes is responsible for signing loanees who really don't give a shit. If your all satisfied with that then you deserve what your going to get this season. NO CUPS No second third or fourth spot. He will keep on signing injury prone limpets. And the management will give him another salary increase because there's idiots on here who keep saying he's the best thing that's happened to Aberdeen in years. BULLSHIT look at the league position 8th and Rangers and Celtic hearts coming up. NO STRIKER NO playmaker 1 1 Link to comment

If you are as old as I am and have been following the Don's for as long as I have there has been plenty of years with 'NO CUPS' and second or third spots being a dream as we battled second or third bottom. Give yourself a shake and wise up. 1 Link to comment

Proud Dandy
We turned up today. But our lack of cutting edge was the issue, we never looked liked scoring. We will be competitive in these games (like the Burnley games) but it will always comeback to haunt us if we can’t score goals Link to comment
