Would it hurt you to add a little context? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6649631/Stoke-launch-5million-bid-Aberdeen-defender-Scott-McKenna.html Will be interesting to see what we do here... they've obviously timed this late on in the day, hoping we'll buckle under the pressure. If Aston Villas bid, during the last window, was indeed a loan with the obligation to buy (you hear different stories on this) for 7M, then you'd think we'll hold firm here? If we buckle here, can only assume it was an option to buy... Link to comment

Tord31
Its certainly a bid that allows for negotiation but I doubt they'll come back with a good increase on that so no deal Link to comment

They can sign him in the summer if they want, he'll probably be away then, but get fucked submitting a bid the day before the window closes. Inbred cunts. Link to comment

muttonhumper
£5m offer That's kinda what I thought, value wise Would you take it? Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
In my head I had made peace with myself that a bid below £5m we should reject it, on the basis that he’d still be worth that in the summer. A bid over £5m we should take it. Never actually thought about a bid exactly of £5m. Bugger. 1 Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Haha I know what you mean £5.75m Looks good thatWith a 20% sell on clause. Done. Link to comment
BWG
10M. In fact 15M for submitting the bid so late on. Fucking Stoke. 1 Link to comment
slippers
No Purely because it's their first offer and you never take the first offer I think it's probably about his value though, all things considered I see what your saying but when do players in England go for anything like there value! 7.5m minimum and 20% sell on and we can talk! Anything less they can fuk off! Have a bad feeling something could be done here and leave us with absolute no time to get a replacement! Maybe pay St. Johnstone a few pennies and take joe now? Exciting if the club can secure this kind in money anyway! I guess the bigger question is how much Will actually go towards player recruitment? Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Can't see us selling for 5m on January deadline day with no time to replace him. We could get that in the summer Link to comment

old sheep
I can see us accepting £6m plus 20% sell on. McInnes will be content with any 2 from Hoban/Devlin/Considine/Reynolds until the summer. £200K to get Hayes back permanently and that will be business done. Link to comment
NEM
Can’t see McKenna being keen on moving to stoke anyhow Link to comment
Crashnyploshnit
Why would we take Stokes offer when Aston Villa apparently offered more in the summer and we turned that down. 3 Link to comment
The Brocher
Can't believe McKenna wants to go to Stoke. Should be setting his personal ambitions far higher than that Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Why would we take Stokes offer when Aston Villa apparently offered more in the summer and we turned that down.Exactly. It would make McInnes look a massive twat lol. His words when Villa came for him were that it was too late in window to source a replacement & (even more notably) that he believes McKenna will get a move straight into the EPL. Not to a championship side that has zero hopes of promotion to the EPL any time soon. Not a chance we would accept that bid & stoke will know this (hence the bs bid to please their fans type thoughts) & are basically pretending they are competing with Villa McKenna will still be with us until summer unless a ridiculous bid of a lot more than Stokes pretendy offer comes in so late in window. Even if he has a hamstring strain/tightness at time of offer & is out of action lol. All same though, all offers of a few mil are good press & any refusals will show other potential buyers/clubs that there is no point in wasting our time unless they are prepared to be serious, as we are not a club to buckle to small change offers anymore, like we were in the past. Also means Celtic certainly cannot come in again (as they are sill looking for a CH) with a derogatory £3m or there about offer. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
We should be taking a leaf out of the huns PR book. No bid of £10 m has been received. Player is still with us. Ergo he’s now a £10m player. Listen to Richard Gordon for details. Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Problem with selling to a championship side for £5m is they'll likely sell him 18 months later for £12m or something daft Link to comment
