I'm not an accountant, but I'd suspect that a loss does not necessarily equal a debt?

 

Also, is the Pittodrie costs not just them writing down the value as opposed to spending money on it?

There's no external debt, the "debt" that was on the balance sheet at the accounts date was all related to the investment put into the club by Cormack & mates. This has mostly been converted into shares since then and the rest will convert to shares in 2021/2022.

The 'loss' is due to the value of Pittodrie being decreased in the accounts and is not debt. The value was decreased by over 4 million.
