Watching the training drills during warm up. Pretty technical compared to what we did under robson and Goodwin.

I would think we're maybe pushing to get him now or perhaps they are well on the way to a replacement and that might suit both parties to get him in imminently so no point in making statements for that to change in a few days? Another reason might be if they have a game like us this weekend then wait until Monday to confirm it all to avoid a full on media storm before important matches.

@minijc have you any idea if thelin would have been a top target or if he was well down the list? Hats off to the board if they stuck to trying to get their man all this time.

On paper this seems like it would be a great appointment however I feel we may need to give him a chance to implement his style and get his style of players. Something that pisses me off is when pundits say we as dons fans are too quick to jump onto the throat of our managers. They clearly haven't watched us. I could accept our position slightly more if you could see some sort of style or signs that we are starting to go somewhere but it's just been clueless from top to bottom. One managers players don't suit the next managers style so.we overhaul then repeat and to be fair I could see that happening again this summer.

What's the forecast for today then scarf likely? Surely getting a coaching team he wants might take a bit of time if coming from abroad?

This has the feeling of the transfer thread on deadline day in January and we know how that usually ends... Would be delighted to see an end to this thread and hopefully gives someone time to manage the squad we have and see what needs done... if he is allowed to fix things is another matter. Amazing what a post from minijc can do on here!

I don't think he said anything condescending about us and its hardly a surprise a man of his age isn't too sure on data driven recruitment. I just wonder what he would have said if it hadn't been two Scots asking the questions. I think a core group of Scots or irish that set the outline of what playing here means to some foreign additions is the way forward. I can't include English as stewart, morris and Richardson have been such a waste!
