tutankamun
2 points out of 6. Not good. And not really looked like the 3 tonight. Crazy way to follow up the great 8 win run!Could quite easily have been 0 points out of 6 so I'll take it. Still unbeaten in 9 games, stay positive! 3 Link to comment

vanderark14
To be honest, all this talk of winning the league was utter bullshit. We're no where near good enough to be winning on a consistent basis. The 8 game winning streak was a thing of beauty, but it was a complete fluke in the grand scheme of things. If you look at where we have been since McInnes came in, we've been up and down for the most, and had spells where players had off games, as they have had in the last 2. Reynolds for instance, looks like a Sunday league player at the moment.... concrete boots stuff! I'll be happy to place 2nd this season and potentially get to another final. I think we need more strength in depth to put up a concerted title push. Anyone can see that. It really is timothy's to throw away. Strange, but Considine, who used to be rank at full back and reasonably solid at centre half, looks the polar opposite now. Flood? Is he out of contract next season? Last season he was a stellar performer, but by god, he's well off the pace now. Doesn't look like he's interested. Take the draw. We're obviously having a bit of a 'time of the month'... team looking a bit off colour. No real surprise after the efforts of the winning streak,You contradict yourself twice in the first two lines alone, you make a few valid points in amongst this though. It's always been the tims to throw away but let's not get carried away with the doom and gloom just yet, a win next week and that's another final. We win our next league match and its still keeps pressure on the tims. Usually they are home and hosed by now but it's level right now and they have tomwin the games in hand, my only fear is that teams continue to lie down to them as they have been lately. The team HAVE been consistent and that is why we are where we are. Couple of games we should have lost but didn't. Everyone else in Scotland now believes we are finished. Hope the team still believe in themselves though, because if they do, we can still push Celtic all the way. A win at Parkhead and we are right back in the running. Link to comment
arty
3 seasons ago we were rank.I mean "for fucksake"rank. This season were talking about challenging ? Were not that brilliant but if we actually fired on all cylinders, were going to be there or there abouts.Next season I think were going to get better, perhaps better than all the opposition except maybe Celtic. Its Hearts and Hibernian coming up next year that may put a spanner in the works.Hearts the Bogey team.Anyway, maybe I'm just dreaming. Dynamo
Considine is horse mate. It's a good thing when you think about it. Shows we want more.Funny how you're saying that. At the game thought he was our best defender (by far). Worst I've seen from Reynolds tonight. He was awful. Link to comment
AFCaketin
Good game for a neutral tonight - a phrase used to describe a game where both team's centre backs have been dragged all over the shop!! Can't defend like that against utd next week, thon Turk will be awa' hame with the match ball if we do. Link to comment
RUL
Thought draw probably fair overall but we were very poor first half. First goal hayes in no man's land allowing a 2 on one to develop. Smith played really well second half and Rooney goal was brilliant. It reminds me a bit, last two games, of how we were playing before Scottish cup semi last year. We seriously need to raise our level. Link to comment

zoso77
Smith looked to grab lots of game in 2 half.liked the way he always looked for it and with better choices/distribution that will come with experience, I can see a right good player there.. 1 Link to comment

vanderark14
We need a defender and I don't mean JoeWe do need another defender but if it's a case of work with what we have it's got to be joe in with Reynolds, considine and at LB and Hayes back in a more attacking role 1 Link to comment
RUL
Joe not good enough in my opinion. Surely the all conquering u20s have a left back Link to comment
Tord31
yea certainly thats what am thinking. experienced centre back signed this week that can slot straight in ala Logan right back last year Then revert to the team that won 8-in-a-row with new centre back in for Taylor. If it has to be Broadfoot then so be it Link to comment

He wasn't at his best tonight but a few of the lads weren'tI was always told to put the ball out of play if your only other option is to put it in to a dangerous position for your own team. I would be prepared to cut him some slack but that's supposed to be his natural position. I think he's done pretty well at left back lately so I was sad to see him playing poorly. Reynolds was definitely poor too. Jack, Rooney, Hayes and Goodwillie were about the only ones who got pass marks from me tonight. Add Smith and Shankland to the list too. Link to comment
Macski
There's always the chance that he didn't quite "click" with the other defenders. You see it quite often, two semi decent centre halves can form a formidable partnership, while two allegedly good players can be a bombscare!Joe's been around with all our fit defenders before, i'd be happy enough with him just now, unless DM has his eye on someone better.I would be tempted however to go Joe - Consi - Reynolds - Logan Link to comment
boboisared
Hayes??Very poor with his final ball and set piece delivery but he offered us an outlet on the left. He has played much better recently. Link to comment
northernlights
Both teams gave everything which made for a good game that was totally even in the end, as both managers agreed. As McInnes said after the game we worked very hard and had an excellent half-hour in the second-half without showing enough quality. I thought we lacked the composure to measure the final ball after leveling the game at 1-1. Dundee Utd and ICT have both lost at McDarmiad Park as someone else has pointed-out and we should be realistic. An unbeaten ten games speaks for itself. Yes, we had a selection dilemma with Taylor out but I'm not sure if we would have done better had we set-up differently. A few of our players had poor games tonight but Goodwillie, Rooney, Hayes and Brown all did well. Most of the teams in the SPL would be weaker having lost 2 of their 3 best centre-backs. We can play better and if most of our players and not just some perform we are certainly capable of winning next week. We might see Logan play at LB to allow Hayes into midfield. COYR! reekie_dock
Hurry back Ash. Jesus fucking christ at was gash against a team we should be putting to sword. But after getting humped against Caley they obviously had point to prove. Only Theo esq goalkeeping and shit finished stopped that from being a 4-1 Hayes at left back is for emergency use only, he is wasted at the back need his pace in middle driving at the cunts. Only Hayes, Jack with pass marks everyone else was below par. Pawlett should oh passed to Hayes who was wide open in Box and the turkey passes to Goodwille who had 2 players beside him. Rooney and Goodwille good combo for the goal and barry finish from Rooney but never really did much else. Shankland has done enough for a start and what the fuck was Robson gan to do we no Pace in last few mins? Link to comment

alscotoz
Such a waste having to sacrifice Hayes to LB. Points to a lack of depth. Still happy enough though. If you'd offered me this position at the start of the season i would have taken it, no question. Unfortunately, we now have to rely on others helping us out but that can be done. However, we need to find a plan B and geting a couple of players in would help shape that plan but it doesn't look like that is an option? Link to comment

RAZOR
Great support down today. Thought it was the right move to bring Flood off, far to negative yet again. Looked a lot better in the second half but no where as good as we have done.Hayes at FB and Rooney on the wing just seems madness but it's hard to argue with 10 games undefeated. An armchair fan may be able to help me out but did Goodwillie have another one on one chance that went a begging? Rode our luck on a couple of occasions, think it was Bobo who rightly pointed out above that Considine was takenfor a mug. Cracking double save from Brown at the end but he could make life a lot easier coming for crosses. Probably a fair result. They always seem to look good against us. Link to comment

Only managed to start any meaningful form of exercise the week before Christmas. The free panini's at work didn't help either though! Link to comment
