  1. Typically mean spirited from milk-float driving Parky.
  2. They settled on that as Ford Hun didnt have the same ring.
  3. FFS, the Green party's malign influence creeps ever further! What do you drive?
  4. Good info thanks. I thought the 30 mpg was likely optimistic. Maybe get it driving on a frictionless surface, in a vacuum. What pick-up do you have and are you usually carrying loads? I saw the Ssangyong Musso Saracen got good reviews, im always interested in obscure / fringe manufacturers in search of a good deal!
  5. (i) Define "need"? (ii) How is it? Ive always fancied a bit of green-laning (in England of course, the miserable puritan Scots are against such) and a bit of adventure, driving through the pyrenees, alps kola peninsula etc. Put a roof top tent on it, the worlds your oyster!
  6. Im pleased to see the sick degenerates of the Greens ejected from Government. Yousaf all over the place as usual, only recently he said the pact was "worth its weight in gold" but has now scrapped it. He is an arse who doesnt know what he is doing. Gays are notoriously vindictive and catty, so I hope the Greens might cause a vote of no confidence and collapse the new minority govt. As a minority, the SNP will struggle to get anything through Holyrood, but this will in fact boost their electoral chances as all they delivered was a constant stream of unwanted and calamitous shite. The best thing Humza could do is to scrap the entire program of current legislation and get on with fixing the roads.
  7. Thinking of changing the car and I have narrowed it down to a couple of options - another Skoda Superb, or a Mercedes C Class (both as estates). But I have the Ford Ranger as a wildcard 3rd option. Its unfortunate name apart, does anyone own(ed) a Ranger, any advice or tips? For the age I am look at (up to 3 or 4 yr old), the Ranger is (surprisingly) the most expensive and also with the highest mileage. Any comments on their reliability? Demanding maintenance schedule? The mpg is poorer than im used to, but I don't do high miles any more (prev about 20k pa, now maybe 1/4 of that). My Vectra got 50 mpg, the outgoing Superb 40 mpg, but the Ranger is stated as 30 mpg. Appreciate any advice from owners, or other pick up owners. I remember Spamx3 saying he liked his L200, but the rear would slide about if unladen, so he had to get Don Fonte to lie in the load bed to get any grip (though this solution fucked the rear springs). It might be worth buying the Ranger to annoy the likes of Patrick Harvie, I could drive around with my poor mpg carrying a load of burning tires πŸ˜ƒ Any thoughts appreciated! πŸ‘
  8. Merrydown pallete cleanser. Paulaner Munchner Hell.
  9. Thats right, VAR official Seamus O'Paedo pulled it back for that "foul". Of course, it wasn't a foul at all, when you see it its soft as shite.
  10. (i) Yes and (ii) very fine indeed. Found out recently that she had done a stint in the Lightning Seeds, I didn't know that!
  11. I'm very proud of the teams performance and felt they really deserved something from the game. Surely our best performance (if not result) vs sellick for very many years. It just shows what the right attitude and application can do and Leven deserves a lot of credit for getting a performance like that. Lots of people deserve praise. Miovski, Solker, Baron, Hoilett and Gartenman probably my picks. I would like to see the first two deployed together more often. McDonald deserves credit for coming back with a goal and a penalty, after his selling the jerseys for their equaliser. We were quite unfortunate with 3 (?) players getting bad cramp. My only criticism was that we allowed Roos' cramp incident to significantly hold up our penalty which we then naturally missed. It was clear as day that was going to happen. I cant believe Roos didnt think to shuffle off to the side at least, or that the management team didnt think to tell him to move either FFS.
  12. The Zutons were phenomenal last eve. "Glasgow - its been fucking ages!" - Dave McCabe Great gig and a good crowd too. First time in that SWG3 venue, I liked it (some points off for some view-restricting pillars). A very satisfactory evening.
  13. Watched the first Episode of Fallout on Amazon. Not sure what to make of it, could go either way!
  14. From Board Statement: β€œHe has a reputation in Sweden as a team builder; someone who will methodically construct a winning side over time. From our point of view, we want this appointment to anchor the Club for years to come, and to work with Jimmy and his coaching staff to create something special at Aberdeen. That will take time, we understand that. Have they finalised realised that the quick fire sacking are not the way?
  15. I saw Civil War in the cinema last night. Its not really an action / war movie, though it does have some great action scenes, I think its trying to say something about the human condition. The Civil War part, while an interesting idea, is really just the backdrop and you don't actually find out much about its reasons etc. I liked the cast and I thought the soundtrack and cinematography were both excellent. Its long but it didn't seem like it, as it was the first film in ages not to bore me to sleep in the movies. Recommended.
