old sheep
I can see us accepting £6m plus 20% sell on. McInnes will be content with any 2 from Hoban/Devlin/Considine/Reynolds until the summer. £200K to get Hayes back permanently and that will be business done. Link to comment
NEM
Can’t see McKenna being keen on moving to stoke anyhow Link to comment
Crashnyploshnit
Why would we take Stokes offer when Aston Villa apparently offered more in the summer and we turned that down. 3 Link to comment
The Brocher
Can't believe McKenna wants to go to Stoke. Should be setting his personal ambitions far higher than that Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Why would we take Stokes offer when Aston Villa apparently offered more in the summer and we turned that down.Exactly. It would make McInnes look a massive twat lol. His words when Villa came for him were that it was too late in window to source a replacement & (even more notably) that he believes McKenna will get a move straight into the EPL. Not to a championship side that has zero hopes of promotion to the EPL any time soon. Not a chance we would accept that bid & stoke will know this (hence the bs bid to please their fans type thoughts) & are basically pretending they are competing with Villa McKenna will still be with us until summer unless a ridiculous bid of a lot more than Stokes pretendy offer comes in so late in window. Even if he has a hamstring strain/tightness at time of offer & is out of action lol. All same though, all offers of a few mil are good press & any refusals will show other potential buyers/clubs that there is no point in wasting our time unless they are prepared to be serious, as we are not a club to buckle to small change offers anymore, like we were in the past. Also means Celtic certainly cannot come in again (as they are sill looking for a CH) with a derogatory £3m or there about offer. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
We should be taking a leaf out of the huns PR book. No bid of £10 m has been received. Player is still with us. Ergo he’s now a £10m player. Listen to Richard Gordon for details. Link to comment
maryhilldon
Take it and buy 5 really good 1 million pound players. Not sure you know how wage budgets work. 1 Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Problem with selling to a championship side for £5m is they'll likely sell him 18 months later for £12m or something daft Link to comment

Ke1t
I'm not seeing the club doing much in terms of inflating his value, though. Get in Romanov, he'd get us 15 million quid for McKenna. Downside being he'd pocket 14 million of it. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
And borrow 25m on the back of the £15m which never existed in the first place. Link to comment
Ten Caat
Take it and buy 5 really good 1 million pound players. Alternatively, our scouting network could identify 25 semi decent £200k players. Exciting times ahead.Who would all instantly demand wages commensurate with being million pounds players (I'd guess around the £10k/week mark). We pay our top players now around £5k/week. So over a 3 year contract for each we'd need to find 5 X £750k over our present budget to accomodate them. And no doubt we'd have a few of our own players demanding pay rises at least equalling what the new players are getting (Joe, Shinnie if he stayed, Devlin, even Ferguson would all have a case). Anyway what would/ will happen is Wiggy would hand over £1million tops for new recruits and hive the rest off for Kingsford phase 2 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
I’d take that. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
BBC saying we have turned down stoke bid but (of course) added that the bid was lower than the reported £5m. This will simply be to help Celtics argument to justify their incoming bid of £3m (over three seasons) & Hayes lol Link to comment
Chester Don
£8m and darren fletcher, no less 1 Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Not this again...Why not? There is zero confirmation/proof one way or the other that the £6m bid from Villa was fact or not.Your biased belief will have you convinced it was all made up but that's just you & your delusional agenda driven bullshit 4 Link to comment

Tord31
Apparently the £5m offer from Stoke has now arrived and been rejected. As of last night they had not bid £5m Dons quoting £8m Pete O'Rourke on twitter. I think he is part of HITC which have sometimes been wildly off previously Link to comment

CityCentre
I'd rather keep McKenna until Summer, get another 5 Scotland caps then sell him for even more than £8m. Link to comment
