fine-n-dandy
Comment on how you feel throughout the summer window on how you feel we're headed. That's the out of contract players sorted out now.Your opinion may change obviously as the window goes on but so far I'm happy.Time was up for Vernon with us I'm afraid & he does deserve first team football somewhere. Wish him all the best & just hope he doesn't become a thorn in our side with Dundee or whoever.Magennis had to go also. Shame for the lad but thankfully McInnes was ruthless enough again to accept he's not good enough. Still wish the lad all the best.Tate. Glad he's gone. Understood the reason for signing him at the time but he's been shite really. Career is pretty much over.Weaver. Glad he's gone (obviously) because he's not the man to challenge Clangers at all. I just hope McInnes has much better in mind as his replacement. Anderson. Delighted for both him & the club. One year is perfect.Robson. Exactly same as above.Low. Glad he got new deal. Hope we're regretting the fact that we only gave him a one year deal in Jan & we're all hoping he extends his deal then but he'll have to play a lot more for that. So far I'm happy with how it's going & it will likely be a good we while before we bring any in because of holidays etc. but hopefully Logan is one of the first confirmed signings Also hopefully Burton Albion come & take their goal every three games big cocked striker off our hands cos he doesn't fit in well in our side/shower. 7/10 so far as dealings are going so far. Hopefully that will increase as the replacements start to come in. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
canna be happy about players going until replacements come in.Aye you can because they were out of contract & we didn't renew them, so that counts as a plus to me.I am fairly confident that their replacements will be better. In fact the only one that may be hardest to replace with better is Vernon. Plus the re-signed deals were perfect in length really because had it been Brown making the decisions again (for example) we'd have seen a whole different outcome from dealings so far. 7/10 is a fair score so far but that is just my opinion & others will no doubt argue that score. Ke1t
Vernon has more or less been replaced with Rooney, Magennis was already semi-gone at St Mirren, and Weaver... would anyone have noticed if he'd left months ago? One year contracts for Anderson and Robson are fair enough... I'd imagine this will be their last season (at this level, if not the game altogether), and gives us time to find younger replacements of a similar ilk. Though that's going to be fucking difficult, and no mistakes. Happy enough with things so far. Link to comment

Tord31
We are looking pretty strong though in terms of the 18 we are still able to send out before any summer signings. McInnes has said only 4 players in so I might have to accept another of our players moving on to get my 5 new signings or wait until 2 of our younger players go out on loan Link to comment

CalgaryDon
So far I'm delighted. All that needs to be said. Agree Tord31 on the required positions. Really hope we can get Logan, both Shinnie brothers a quality forward who offers something different and a centre back. Maybe a centre mid if there is any cash left in the budget. I think Derek McInnes has made the right decision on Low. Im not sure he is good enough for Aberdeen however like Pawlett he may have a much better season and prove his worth in the team. Hard working, gives his all and still learning. 1 year deal is perfect. Link to comment

ollie1903
Magennis had to go also. Shame for the lad [/b]Why's it a shame? I'm personally turning cartwheels that I never have to witness Magennis masquerading as a "footballer" in an AFC shirt ever again. Completely and utterly inept at everything he does on the pitch. Oh, other than being this magical "10 minute impact sub" that some people seem to think is actually now a position 6 Link to comment
Tord31
if I am being greedy I'd even throw in a centre back but perhaps that is a Hector type loan on August 31st. Going with Anderson, Reynolds, Considine, Shaughnessey and Robertson might not be enough if one of the senior lads gets a bad injury. Link to comment

Redstar
Maybe no fee required... On 2 June 2011, Hutchinson signed a two-year extension to his contract, tying him to Motherwell until 2014. Offer him decent terms Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
No way Boyd would sign for us. He detests us.I detest him but would accept him if he played for us but will never happen. He's getting an ankle op now as well but he will bang in goals with any Scottish club if he stays fit. He'd have his choice of any as well except celtic, so he'd never sign for us. Link to comment
reidserdandy
Have absolutely hated Boyd for a long long time but have to admit he can fairly score the goals him and Rooney with Mcginn and Pawlett has goals written all over it think his wages would just be too much for someone of his age though only other alternative could be Stevie May if on a long deal has to be worth a transfer fee his value is only going to rise as he gets older Link to comment

Ever since the Celtic park Scottish cup win we've looked completely clueless in the final 3rd Just sayin like, completely agree we need all 5 so that's the main thing!! Link to comment

We have lost Logan and Tate, Anderson is 36, Robertson would benefit from at least six months out on loan and Considine is not a natural left back. Would love us to sign Kris Boyd and if there is any possibility we should go for it. Will score goals for whoever he plays for next season at any level Link to comment

He's taken and given good banter at our games this seasonSome huns are professional enough to put dislike of Aberdeen to one side for the sake of their job but he's not one of them imo.He will have his choice of clubs & we will not even be on the first page of his list as far as preference goes. Would you walk up to him & ask him if he's signing for Aberdeen & actually think he wouldn't totally take the piss out of you? Link to comment
