Betty Swallicks
No He will be away for proper big money next summer I'm not saying that won't happen but it would be foolish to do that. He'll be a far better player after finishing this season and playing one more (if avoids injury) with us (presuming he's going to England) so we'd get a bigger sum and he'd still be under contract for 3 years so no chance of a buying club sitting it out waiting. aberdeen1970
He'll be off long before that contract ends. The good news is that he's probably already too expensive for the Huns to afford Link to comment

Tord31
He was my pick for captain and i'd stick by it. Any chance of a change? McInnes has prior with taking it off both Reynolds and Jack. Link to comment

McInnes has prior with taking it off both Reynolds and Jack. Reynolds was never technically captain. He was vice captain in a season Anderson hardly played. Jack was fairly unique circumstances! Shinnie was always the captain anyway. He basically still is Link to comment
Sonoftherock
From the way he is developing and approaches the game, you can see he's taken a lot from playing with Shinnie. Has become a driving force for us. Link to comment
slippers
It is pretty exciting times. We have a few players that are worth a lot of money now. Even a small chance of making 3-5m on Fraser if he moves. The club could cover half the stadium if they can maximise these sales. I know it’s all pie in sky until you sell but it’s mental amount of money potentially! If they can reinvest 10% of it back into the squad we could have a few million to pay in transfers with rest going to stadium. Biggest problem is recruiting the next Ferguson and cosgrove. 2 1 Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Ferguson could be sold to Atlanta for $muchos & a few players on loan in return. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Except I doubt the mls is a destination he fancies. He'll be eyeballing a move to the English Premier league like Armstrong did. Link to comment

Red Ram
What if he'd played for 21 different clubs?Solidarity payment is only one 5% share of transfer fee and not multiple 5%s if player is transferred for a fee between teams registered with different National Associations. Split of that 5% is worked out from where player was registered from aged 12 to 23. From age 12 to 15 the share is 0.25% per season of the 5% and then it's 0.5% of overall 5% for every season to age 23 giving the 5% in total. If you've been at 21 clubs between 12 and 23 the 5% is therefore split pro rata based on % due for age when at the clubs. If a player transfers for a fee between countries before they hit 23 then the full 5% isn't due and only cumulative % from age 12 to age under 23 when they transfer is owed. Training compensation that we paid for Ferguson is seperate system to transfer solidarity fee. Link to comment
Simply Red
Fergies our best player by a mile. Old head on young shoulders. Link to comment
Shinniesta
McInes has been criticised (rightly) for some of his signings the likes Gleeson, May and Forrester immediately spring to mind. On the other hand though it's only right he's praised for signing and developing the likes of Ferguson and Cosgrove. Both of those players should make us several millions each when they eventually move on. I can't remember a time when we've had three players at the one time who could all potentially go for several million apiece. Link to comment

Big Joe be worth a few quid aswell.I can see Fergie going down south and doing really well. He’s got it all and the attitude to go with it. Just a pity about his background. Link to comment
Studebaker-90
He roughly has a 50/50 strike rate when it comes to signings. Can name one good signing against every bad one. Link to comment

I can't remember a time when we've had three players at the one time who could all potentially go for several million apiece. The problem is that all 3 are likely to go within 12 months of each other and quite possibly 6 months. Most of the cash will go straight to the new stadium and rightly so. But whatever he gets to replace them with....well as others have said, his strike rate of good signings to shite signings is pretty much 50/50. So at best we can expect 2 good replacements. We might get 3 complete duds. Link to comment

Cosgrove, McKenna and Ferguson could potentially make us a huge amount of money. McInnes deserves some praise for his part in that. All three are on long contracts as well. Link to comment

If players aren't going to sign new long term deals and are worth money they should be sold before the final 2 years of their contract and their value depreciates . Lost the rat, Mclean, Shinnie for nothing/nominal fee as last 6 months. Not great. Link to comment

Not great.True but then at that point in their careers none of those players you mentioned were worth the sort of money 2 years from the end of their final AFC contracts to make it truly worthwhile selling them. That's not the case now with McKenna, Cosgrove and Ferguson. Link to comment
