He's hoping for a decent offer to head down south, if that doesnt come he's staying with us for another 2 years with a minimum release clause.

His agent is trying to get him something with a Championship team, or one on the way up to the Championship. There are sniffs but nothing concrete on the table, yet. Thats where he sees his future, not with the huns.

Those are facts, not hearsay, not rumour.

The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen

Mean home sweet home to me

The Northern Lights of Aberdeen

Are what I long to see

I've been a wanderer all of my life

And many a sight I've seen

God speed the day when l'm on my way

To my home in Aberdeen!!

If Jack left to go to the Huns i'd be disappointed and angry... but being in his shoes you can't really blame him.

1. More Money - double his wage maybe?
2. International ambition - let's face it, he has much more chance at the huns than he does here.. it's shite to say/admit but it is ture. AFC players just can't seem to get a look in.
3. There will come a time in the future where Rangers will be challenging for the title and being brought up supporting rangers to be part of that "future" is probably a bit lucrative for him.
4. There's a strong number of aberdeen fans who don't like him, say we won't miss him if he goes, he shouldn't be captain, doesn't do enough etc. I definitely see more negatives towards him than positives - it's bound to piss him off, his mrs off seeing negative stuff written about him... i'd say he owes the club & mcinnes more than he owes the fans and for that reason i would hope he leaves for England rather the huns as i don't want to abuse the fuck out of him when he comes to pittodrie with rangers as i really like him as a player.

Overall though i just hope he stays.

Sadly true.

It's the huns. They could offer me £1m a day and I'd tell them to shove up in their dead arse.

As would I. These young loons aren't wired the same though.

Its Second hand News but I've been hearing Fleetwood Rumours coming from a certain Songbird.

Dont Stop the messenger, I'm just a link in The Chain here, I doubt they'd aspire to his EPL money and Gold Dust Woman type Dreams but there's a time when you have to Go Your Own Way while remembering if you do leave there's a very distinct possibility that you're Never Going Back Again.

I've heard these rumours as well, we must have a similar source after we signed Tanso in the Night.

I've heard another one that Hearts are sniffing about.

Losing Jack in my opinion would be no great loss.  What he offers the Dons can be replaced and also if he moves on it allows us to get Shinnie as Captain which we all want.

If Jack is holding off for a move and leaving us hanging then any offer on the table should be pulled.

I'd agree with this...all he is doing by hanging back is showing, as he does on the pitch, that its all about him...not qualities one would actively seek out in a captain...

He wants to see if he can get a better deal for himself financially and for his development.  That's modern football.  If we threw the toys out of the pram for every player that does that we'd be back to having players like Jerel Ifil.  Footballers are essentially contractors, it's all part of the dance.

Development? Hes 25 is he nae?  He should be nearing his peak. He should be told take it or leave it. If he leaves it take the captaincy off him and dump him on the bench. Why give him game time to attract a bigger club when we will get fuck all for him??

Because that would be grossly detrimental to our ambitions of finishing second.

If Jack can't go to the Championship then he stays? Great news and exactly what I'd assume was the case. More chance of a Scotland call up and more money must be a fair carrot dangling. Wouldn't really expect many to turn it down being brutally honest.

Heart have absolutely no chance of obtaining any of our players for various reasons: mainly because we are a bigger club.

Honestly don't believe Jack would be missed too badly. I'd wish him well - UNLESS - he goes to them. If he does, sorry but fuck him.

I for one will be gutted if/when jack goes.

Would be horrible if he went to the huns. But if he goes to some no mark English team like Fleetwood?!? really would have to question his ambition as a footballer. A couple of extra grand a week to play for some pish team like that, really worth it?

Would you not change jobs for a couple of grand a week more?
