Don Fonte
I think he's good enough...Who would you put him in place of? Link to comment
Tord31
GMS ... am still going for a conspiracy theory that he's actually on a two year loan from Celtic... earns £5k/week,£6k/week,£7k/week, whatever.... and weve not figured out how we'd go about making him an offer Link to comment
RUL
I think he's good enough...I'm sure mcinnes rates him too, otherwise he wouldn't be anywhere near the squad. Link to comment
cruzcampo3
Evening express saying the same, and also that he hasn't had a concrete offer from the club yet. Very poor if true, given his form so far this season. He’s hardly going come out and say they’ve offered him a deal but he’s not happy with it. International week need fill the papers somehow Link to comment
Tord31
Was pleased to hear McInnes saying McLennan will be in the Dons team for years to come. I was assuming we intended to release him. Link to comment
RUL
Where did you get that assumption from? I think he would have had more game time but for injury. Link to comment

TheRock
Would be interested to know the wages bill currently vs last season. We saw in the figures a week or two ago, the wage bill went up last season compared to the season before but I felt like at the start of this season maybe the players coming in wouldn't be overall costing as much as the ones that left. And as such, there's still some slack in the budget that would be utilised in January (and that's before a few folk could possibly be moved on, although don't know how realistic that is). But...could be wildly wrong and maybe we are already spending more than last season. But wouldn't mind knowing. Link to comment

Too many collecting what I'd assume was a decent wage and not even contributing at all, and struggling to make match day squads. GleesonTanseyForrester McInnes' really needs to up his game in the transfer market, the list of outgoing vs incoming the last two years is shocking, and it's little wonder we find ourselves in the bottom 6. 2 Link to comment
RUL
The problem will be getting any suitors for those 3 as they have played so little football. Link to comment
StandFree1982
I can't see us getting in another Midfielder until we've shipped at least 1 of those 3 mentioned above. I can see a comeback for Tansey and possibly Gleeson though, or at least a chance to prove themselves again. Forrester looks to have fucked it, not even getting anywhere near the squad and hardly had a sniff of game time. Link to comment
Tord31
I'll eat my hat if any of them play twice in a row for us. They'll be lucky to get one game. None of them are in the plans. Link to comment

Add Reynolds to that list well. If fit, I still don't think he'd be getting a game just now. Link to comment

Tord31
Waiting patiently for the GMS or Shinnie news. If it's not the elephant in the room now then it will be after the next couple of contract extensions. I'd imagine Considine for one will be tied up in the next few weeks to a one or two year extension as he's been one of our best players this season. As mentioned previously Lowe and Ball extensions also not out of the question in January. Link to comment

dazzy_deff
I think we’ll sign Ball on a permanent and probably Hoban to replace Reynolds (despite Hoban barely playing). Link to comment
RUL
Ball has said he wants to stay, I think he's done enough to earn a new contract and great that someone wants to sign a deal with us. Link to comment

It's hard to imagine Hoban having a raft of offers to pick from so it might not be the worst idea but he doesn't look very clever at the moment with his three games - two of which he got injured in. Edit to say .... THREE of which he got injured in. Link to comment
RUL
There's no way we will sign Hoban. 1 Link to comment
Tord31
He might be a good player but if we have the power to terminate his loan in January then it's probably the best idea to do that. Given Watford announced they have the power to terminate it then you'd expect it's mutual. Link to comment

Certainly seems to like it enough here. More than happy with him in the squad. Perfect player for 'game management' when you're 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go. Injury record maybe suggests he's not cut out for a career in the game.... doubt there will be many queuing up to sign him. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Would have hoped for longer, love the look of him and think he's a better prospect than Anderson That's him jinxed, like Gleeson, Forrester, Chidi and Wilson! 2 Link to comment
