October will be massive especially with us at easter road, either a semi final or at sevco & celtic at home will really test us in the space of 2 weeks. Every other club is being tested though and you only have to look at sevco on Friday night and hibs on Saturday. Our squad rotation just now isn't great but over the season having all these options can only benefit us. Sevco, Hibs & Hearts squads are thin on the ground with a few injuries.

We were shite on Saturday, actually I don't think we have played well all season and been lucky with some results. Now we have to step up and actually start playing teams that will finish in top 6 as up to now only played bottom 6 fodder. (maybe except hearts). McLean went mental at Stewart after the equaliser. Them and logan were having a heated exchange for 30 seconds shouting and pointing about positioning. Stewart is a lazy bastard tracking back, he'll follow his man back for a bit then he just stops and leaves Logan with 2 people to mark.

 

Yes, and for anyone not at the game, the BBC highlights didn't air the Greg Stewart shit show 20 seconds before the goal, where he give the ball away under zero pressure and which led to the passage of play that gave Jones his chance to score.

It's fine margins for us at the moment, we're only playing well for 20 minute spells and things aren't coming off for us during those spells. If we'd been 2 or 3 up after 20 minutes Killie couldn't complain. We're not getting the ball in the box enough, we're trying to play through the channels too much and not testing the keeper, taking too long to get shots away or make a killer pass. We're a split second of sharpness off the pace.

Fair point. In which case you play a settled back 4 with two sitting midfielders in front. In terms of suitability for that role you would list as a minimum Shinnie and Ball, possibly Tansey before Maclean gets the gig. Two sitting midfielders means only 1 advanced. There seems to be mutual agreement that that's Christie's best position. I've also seen Stewart play well there. Note the absence of Maclean.

 

Nowt against and I've said elsewhere his attitude was spot on on Saturday. But he seems to be getting squeezed out (or rather squeezed in) at the moment and it's potentially hurting us, in an undefeated kind of a way.

There is no one at present in the current crop of players. I thought Mclean would be a likely candidate, but he doesn't seem capable at the moment. Perhaps Tansey, although he might play too deep. It's a difficult one. Needs to be sorted urgently.
